    Abstract: The buffer device (10) has a body (11) which can be fitted in a rail (4), a damping element (12) for cushioning, and a retaining spring (13) for retaining a running mechanism (6) which is guided in the rail (4) and is provided for carrying and guiding slidable wing elements (2). The at least approximately U-profile-shaped body (11) of the buffer device (10), which body is punched and bent from a metal element, has a first and a second wing (14; 18), which wings are connected to each other by a central piece (20) whose tongue-shaped extension forms the retaining spring (13) serving to retain the running mechanism (6). The end pieces (17, 19, 26; 17*, 19*) of the wings (14; 18) are configured in such a manner that they are suitable for retaining the damping element (12). The buffer device (10) can be manufactured cost-effectively from a single metal plate and can be completed by a damping element (12). Since the retaining spring (13) is a component part of the body (11) of the buffer device (10), the device is highly stable.

    Abstract: A sliding door stopper for limiting a sliding movement of a vehicle sliding door in a direction of opening of the sliding door, by abutting contact of the sliding door with the sliding door stopper in a cushioning manner, wherein the sliding door stopper is attached to a guide rail which is mounted on a vehicle body, and the sliding door is suspended from and guided by the guide rail so as to be slidable along the guide rail, the sliding door stopper comprising: an elastic body extending in a longitudinal direction of the guide rail away from the longitudinal end of the guide rail and having opposite longitudinal end faces one of which is adapted for abutting contact with the sliding door, the elastic body having a plurality of concavities each of which is formed in an outer surface of the elastic body so as to extend in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction of the elastic body which is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the guide rail.

    Abstract: The invention is a shock mount for a pivoted door on mobile food service equipment or a rolling cart. The shock mount is preferably a sliding block which is spring biased to a normal position. In case of a shock or jolt, the block slides to dissipate the energy resulting from the shock or jolt. A door is pivotally mounted on the sliding block. Detents hold the door in either a closed position or a supported open position. The pivot mount enables the door to move over the detent, while holding the door in either a closed or a supported open position.
