Abstract:
A clamp for connecting a first component end to a second component end is provided. The clamp includes a web extending between a first end and a second end, each end being provided with a connecting device for connecting said web ends to each other so that the clamp encloses the component ends. The clamp further includes an alignment structure, which alignment structure is configured to fit with corresponding engagement structures provided at the first component end and the second component end for circumferentially positioning the clamp relative to the component ends.
Abstract:
An antistatic cover which, when the cover covers an insulating resin-made tube, can enhance the certainty of preventing the tube from being electrically charged, and can facilitate attachment to and detachment from the tube. The tubular cover body, is divided in a circumferential direction to form first and second divided portions. The cover body is elastically deformed such that the first and second divided portions separate from each other, and allow the tube to pass through between the first and second divided portions. The cover body has a plurality of first cutaway portions, which pass through at least one of the first and second divided portions in a radial direction of the cover body, and is configured such that, when the cover body is fitted onto the tube, a part of the tube can be exposed through the plurality of first cutaway portions.
Abstract:
A piping is provided with an RFID tag for identifying the piping, wherein the piping comprises a first end section for being coupled to a second piping and a second end section for being coupled to a third piping. The piping further comprises a mid-section in between the end sections. The RFID tag is provided in an elongate recess that is formed in the piping and that extends in a tangential direction parallel to a surface of the mid-section of the piping.
Abstract:
A male connector includes a shaft including a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The shaft defines a lumen extending between the distal end portion and the proximal end portion. The distal end portion includes a sealing member that engages a female connector to create a fluid-tight seal when the distal end portion of the male connector is inside the female connector, a latch catch groove proximal to the sealing member, a grip extending from an outer surface of at least part of the shaft, and at least one lug extending distally from the grip partially along the outer surface of the shaft. The latch catch groove engages a latch of the female connector to retain the distal end portion of the male connector inside the female connector. The proximal end portion includes a barb that engages a section of tubing.
Abstract:
An adapter device for use in a reprocessing device for reprocessing surgical instruments. The adapter device including: at least one first fluid attachment, on an inlet side for connection to a coupling device of the reprocessing device; at least one second fluid attachment, on an outlet side for connection to the surgical instrument, the at least one second fluid attachment being adapted geometrically to an attachment of the surgical instrument; and an adapter identification feature that is detectable by the reprocessing device. Also provided is a reprocessing system having a reprocessing device for reprocessing surgical instruments and having the adapter device. The reprocessing device including: the coupling device for connecting to the adapter device; and a detection device which detects, with the adapter device connected to the reprocessing device, the adapter identification feature of the adapter device.
Abstract:
A cable that include a hose having a conductor located thereabout. A first strength member layer is located about the conductor. A second strength member layer is located about the first strength member layer. A first jacket is located about the second strength member layer. The first jacket is fiber-reinforced. A second jacket is located about the first jacket. The second jacket is a contrasting color to the first jacket.
Abstract:
A system of visual and non-visual marks for PVC pipes and couplings which allows users to group PVC pipes and couplings by type, size, and composition with a series of colors, shapes, swirls, patterns. The series of colors, shapes, swirls, patterns are applied to the PVC pipes and couplings by etching, painting, applying stickers, and or molding into the PVC itself. The non-visual mark utilize the magnetic and radio reflective nature of the marks to allow remote identification of the plumbing pipes and couplings after being buried.
Abstract:
A fire hose coupling comprises a body having a first end connected to a fire hose and a second end having threads. The fire hose coupling comprises a recessed portion formed in an outer surface of the body. The recessed portion is shaped to define a visuotactile directional indicator such as an arrow. The recessed portion may include a light-reflecting surface to enhance visibility such as a super reflective metal film, a photo luminescent coating, or a phosfluorescent coating. The recessed directional indicator may be formed in either female or male couplings.
Abstract:
The composite tube comprises a tubular arrangement of knitted fiber having plurality of interlocking loops. The knitted pattern allows for variable electrical, mechanical and geometrical options. A matrix material is applied over the knitted fiber pattern and is allowed to cure. The matrix material may be applied by a vacuum bag molding process. The flexible knitted reinforcing layer allows use of an inflatable bladder to hold the reinforcing layer in the desired shape, thereby facilitating tube constructions of varying shapes and diameters. Continuous application of the matrix material avoids overlapping seams that are prone to delamination. Identification and labeling of the composite tube may be achieved with distinguishing knitted patterns having different types and colors of knitted fibers within the knitted reinforcing layer. A clear or translucent matrix material enables viewing of the underlying knitted patterns. Identification may also include RF ID tags Incorporated directly within the knitted reinforcing layer.
Abstract:
A quick-disconnect coupling such as a camlock includes a male plug and a female socket defining a duct for communication of a fluid with a locking arrangement for locking the male plug in the female socket. Protrusions are provided on an outside surface of the female socket or on an outside surface of the male plug and corresponding recesses are provided on an outside surface of the male plug or on an outside surface of a female socket with the recesses and protrusions beings cooperatively shaped and arranged to allow insertion of the male plug member into the female socket member to the locking position only when the recesses and protrusions match.
