Abstract:
A method and system for determining the price of a scrapped/accident car over a network so as to stably collect cars, grasp the inventory of used components, establish a market of component prices, and effectively use components by appropriately evaluating the price of each of scrapped/accident cars involved at various places. The method for determining the price of a scrapped/accident car on the basis of information concerning cars or car components and circulated on a network comprises a quantity predicting step of predicting the quantity of recycled components shipped the type of which is the same as that of the components on the basis of information on the record of the shipment of new components for cars received through the network, a component price calculating step of calculating the price of each of recycled components the type of which is the same as those of the components from the information, and a car price calculating step of calculating the price of the scrapped/accident car on the basis of the information and the prices of the recycled components.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an electronic label system comprising a central station and a plurality of distributed electronic labels, and communication means in particular wireless communication means for transmitting data particularly price data from the central station to the labels. The invention is characterised in that each label comprises a set of price registers and a set of coefficient registers and includes a display unit comprising at least two price displaying zones, and the data transmitted from the central station to a label comprise instructions for assignment between a computed price equal to the price contained in the price register multiplied by a given coefficient, and a zone displaying a given price. Time-out instructions are also provided. The invention is useful in particular for displaying prices in shops.

The method includes conveying the product to the customer prior to at least one transaction term of the sale being finalized, determining a final value of the transaction term, and completing the sale using the final value of the tranaction term as a term of the sale.
Abstract:
A market research database includes industry code information containing industry codes (such as UPCs), naked product information containing information about naked products, package information containing information about packages, and product definition information linking naked product information, package information, and industry codes. Accordingly, the storage of information in the database is not dependent upon UPCs or other industry codes, making access to product related information difficult. The use of naked product information, together with the way of identifying products, facilitate a third normal form data-base.
