Abstract: A wireless control device includes a power source, one or more sensors, one or more switches, a wireless transceiver circuit, an antenna connected to the wireless transceiver circuit, and a processor communicably coupled to the power source, the one or more sensors, the one or more switches, and the wireless transceiver circuit. The processor receives a data from the one or more sensors or the one or more switches, determines a pre-defined action associated with the data that identifies one or more external devices and one or more tasks, and transmits one or more control signals via the wireless transceiver circuit and the antenna that instruct the identified external device(s) to perform the identified task(s).

Abstract: A remote controller, a remote-control system and a control method thereof are provided. The remote controller includes a motion sensing circuit and a wireless communication circuit electrically connected to the motion sensing circuit. The motion sensing circuit determines whether or not a motion of the remote controller complies with one of multiple reference motions. When the motion of the remote controller complies with one of the reference motions, the wireless communication circuit is switched from a sleep state to a working state. The wireless communication circuit that is in the working state determines whether or not a received signal strength indication between the remote controller and a controlled device is greater than or equal to a strength threshold. When the received signal strength indication is less than the strength threshold, the wireless communication circuit is switched from the working state to the sleep state.

Abstract: A method of controlling a battery-powered remote controller to decrease a duty cycle to allow continued operations despite the quantity of the battery is bad. The method determines a drop in voltage of the battery in standby mode as voltage of the battery is being read. When receiving a command to activate a voice function, determining whether the drop in voltage in the standby mode is greater than or equal to a preset value. If the drop is greater than or equal to the preset value, the method then determines whether the drop in voltage falls in a preset range. If the drop falls in the preset range, the method regulates a duty cycle of the pulse signal activating the voice function, and activates the voice function as required. A remote controller and a non-transitory storage medium are also provided.

The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a wallbox. The remote control device may include a control unit and a faceplate assembly. The faceplate assembly may include a mounting frame, an adapter plate, and a faceplate. The mounting frame may be configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch such that that the faceplate is spaced away from the bezel of the mechanical switch to enable the mounting ring to extend through respective openings in the adapter plate and the faceplate.

The method includes establishing at least a reference response to an environmental condition based on a response of at least one calibrated detector to the environmental condition; establishing at least a sensor response to the environmental condition based on the response of at least one uncalibrated detector to the environmental condition; developing, based on the established sensor response, at least a sensor response slope; determining, based on the established reference response, the established sensor response, and the developed sensor response slope, at least a corrected response; and returning the corrected response.

Abstract: A system and method for transmission of a signal for a powered assistive device has a sensor node with a wireless transmitter adapted for digitally transmitting a transmitted signal, the sensor node adapted for receiving and monitoring a sensor signal from a sensor attached to a user, and a master node with a controller and a wireless receiver for receiving the transmitted signal from the wireless transmitter. The master node processes the transmitted signal and communicates a control signal to the powered assistive device. The wireless transmitter transmits the transmitted signal at a first rate when the wireless transmitter adapted to transmit the transmitted signal at a first rate when the sensor signal is indicative of the rest state and to transmit the transmitted signal at a second rate when the sensor signal is indicative of the active state, the second rate being greater than the first rate.

Abstract: Certain embodiments include a computer-method includes searching for a receiver having an active first wireless communication protocol. When the receiver is detected, the mobile input device connects to the receiver, and when the receiver is not detected, the method includes searching for a host computer having an active second wireless communication protocol (e.g., Bluetooth®) after the receiver is not detected. The method further includes connecting the mobile input device to the host computer when the receiver is not detected and the active second type of wireless communication protocol is detected. The method then continues to search for the receiver while the mobile input device is connected to the host computer having the second wireless communication protocol, and automatically switches the wireless connection from the host computer having the second wireless communication protocol to the receiver when the first type of receiver is detected.
