Abstract:
An image forming apparatus has: character data forming means for forming character data; synthesizing means for synthesizing the character data formed by the character data forming means with image data; image output means for printing a synthesis result of the synthesizing means onto a sheet; sheet post-processing means for performing a post-process to the sheet outputted by the image output means; and adjusting means for adjusting a printing position of the character data and a processing position of the sheet post-processing means.
Abstract:
A digital camera capable of readily recognizing the printing-specifying information that has been set. Printing-specifying information is set for digital image data acquired by photographing. When an image for which printing-specifying information has been set is displayed on a monitor provided in the digital camera, the image is displayed along with the set printing-specifying information.
Abstract:
A compound recording method and compound recording apparatus are provided for producing a printed product. The apparatus includes a plurality of image forming devices to form images on a plurality of recording sheets based on a plurality of image data arbitrarily obtained. Each of the image forming devices forms a separate image on a separate recording sheet in parallel with other image forming devices, and a sheet finisher is provided to accept the plurality of recording sheets ejected from the plurality of image forming devices and apply a designated finish-processing to the plurality of recording sheets on which the images are already formed by the plurality of image forming devices.
Abstract:
A holder and a method of making an index print using the holder. The method comprising the steps of: 1) providing a holder having at least one sleeve for holding a film, said film having at least one developed image therein; 2) scanning the holder so as to obtain a digital record representative of the images present on said negative film; and 3) printing the digital record so as to form an index print wherein said at least one image is placed in a predetermined pattern.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes an electronic scanner for scanning a set of original document pages to be reproduced as a production job. The scanner produces first signals representing image information on the document pages. An operator control panel (OCP) allows input of job and page level requirements for copying the set of documents pages as a copy job and generates second and third signals respectively representing these. A job image buffer is responsive to the first, second and third signals and stores fourth signals representing image information for use in reproducing the set of document pages. There is also provided a buffer for generating fifth signals representing consecutive numbers for use in annotating copies of the document pages. In response to the fourth and fifth signals, the copier produces a proof set of consecutively numbered hard copy pages of the set of document pages with consecutive numbered annotations not present on the original document pages. The apparatus then prompts the operator via a display screen to input a number on one of the consecutively numbered pages and an operator selectable page level requirement for changing a requirement for reproducing an original page in said set corresponding to said one page. After a proof set is formed, the original page having a requirement to be changed may be re-scanned. The copier then produces collated copy sets of the set of document pages as a copy job with the original page reproduced according to the changed requirement.
Abstract:
A mixed-mode transmission control apparatus for transmitting a mixed-mode document data from a transmitting terminal to a reception terminal via a network. The apparatus includes a storage part in which at least a transmitting terminal identifying data and a page number denoting each page of the mixed-mode document data are stored, a generating part for generating an identification block into which at least the terminal identifying data and the page number are transferred from the storage part, an editing part for editing the mixed-mode document data before transmission so as to add the identification block thereto, and a control part for transmitting the mixed-mode document data, to which the identification block is added, to the reception terminal by performing a predetermined data transmission procedure.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a scanner for scanning a plurality of document so that n images corresponding to the documents are obtained, n being an integer greater than 2, an image generating means for successively generating m number images different from each other, m being an integer greater than 2, an image composition circuit for combining an i-th image (i=1, 2 , . . . , and n) obtained by the scanner and a j-th number image (j=1, 2 , . . . , and m) with each other so as to output a composite image I.sub.ij, a printing mechanism for printing the composite image I.sub.ij on a recording sheet, and an output unit for outputting the recording sheet having the composite image I.sub.ij formed thereon.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus is disclosed which, in a standby condition, displays the date and time, in a transmission mode displays the name of a receiving facsimile apparatus and the page number, prints out the name of the receiving apparatus, time of transmission, number of sheets transmitted, occurrence of failures on the facsimile and the like, and adds the time of transmission, name of the receiving apparatus and page number to video data to be transmitted, and in a reception mode displays the name of a transmitting apparatus and page number while printing out the name of the transmitting apparatus, time of reception, page number, occurrence of failures on the facsimile and the like. The size of extra data to be added to video data is varied at a transmitting apparatus depending on the type of a receiving apparatus: a comparatively large size for an analog (G II) type apparatus and a comparatively small size for a digital (G III) type apparatus. The positional relationship among extra data in the horizontal scan direction is automatically varied to match with a specific sheet width employed at a receiving apparatus. Only those portions of video data read from a document necessary for reproduction of extra data are occupied by the extra data on a copy sheet, thereby allowing a minimum of video data reproduced from a document to be lost.
Abstract:
A control device is configured to: control the scanner unit, when a first instruction is received from a user to insert a first scanned data in a first file stored in a file storage server, to scan a document to generate the first scanned data; and to provide a first insertion request to the file storage server through a communication interface, the first insertion request requesting the file storage server to insert the first scanned data at a target location in the first file, the target location being a location designated by the user through a terminal device that is configured separately from the control device.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus is provided with an identification information reading unit (reading unit, NFC reader, and identification information acquisition unit) which acquires identification information by reading the identification information from a section to be read at which identifiable identification information is recorded for each individual carrier sheet and which is provided at a joining section of the carrier sheet in which two transparent sheets for pinching an original document are joined at a portion of a peripheral edge portion; and a processor which performs a process which is associated with the identification information read by the identification information reading unit.
