Abstract:
A vertically situated incinerator for receiving heated kiln off gases from a petroleum coke calcining process and incinerating volatile matter and carbon fines entrained in the gases. The incinerator also functions as a hot stack through which the gases are vented to atmosphere at times when any downstream equipment for receiving the gases are off line.
Abstract:
A high capacity shaft kiln, which includes a plurality of vertical kiln shafts, a common heating unit and a cooling unit attached to the common heating unit. Each of the plurality of vertical kiln shafts are sized and configured to receive a source of material, which descends from an upper end thereof to a lower end thereof, and wherein each of the plurality of vertical kiln shafts has an inlet, which is sized and configured to receive a fuel source from a distribution device. The common heating unit is sized and configured to receive the source of material from the lower end of each of the plurality of vertical kiln shafts.
Abstract:
Described is a method as well as a plant for dedusting a stream of dust- laden gases in a hybrid filter installation, wherein dust- laden gases are dedusted in an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) (1) having ducts (2) provided with grounded collecting plates (6) and high voltage electrodes (3) and a fabric filter (FF) (4). The method and plant is peculiar in that a part of the stream of dust- laden gases are bypassed the ducts (2) in the ESP (1) provided with grounded collecting plates (6) and high voltage electrodes (3), and in that the bypassed dust- laden gases are mixed with dust- laden gases which have passed through ducts (2) in the ESP (1) provided with grounded collecting plates (6) and high voltage electrodes (3) before the mixed dust- laden gases are conducted to the FF (4).
Abstract:
A description is given of a method for producing a wear-resistant roller for crushing of particulate material, such as crude ore for use in the mineral industry, by which method the surface region of the roller (1) is provided with a plurality of recesses (2) into each of which a wear-resistant component (3) is embedded. The method is characterized in that at least some of the material around each recess (2) is plastically deformed after the wear-resistant component (3) is placed in the recess and in that the deformed material changes the shape of the recess (2) and secures the wear-resistant component (3) to the roller (1).
Abstract:
A system for performing in-situ aggregate size analysis in a feedwell assembly, which includes a feedwell assembly, which receives an influent feed stream from at least one feed pipe, and at least one flocculant feed pipe within the feed stream or feedwell assembly, which delivers a flocculant to the feed stream. An in-situ device provides images of flocculated particles within the feedwell assembly to an image analysis software application. The image analysis software application receives the images of the flocculated particles within the feedwell assembly and provides for size measurement and averaging for dosage control of the flocculant added to the influent feed stream within the feedwell assembly.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A gyratory crusher, which includes a bowl, a head assembly and a cylindrical eccentric assembly. The bowl is shaped as a cone and has a wider opening approaching a top portion of the crusher, and an inner shell, which is backed by a concrete outer shell. The head assembly is shaped as a cone, and is centrally located within the bowl. The head assembly also includes a central mainshaft which is located on an inclined axis within the bowl. The cylindrical eccentric assembly includes an eccentric central volume in which the main shaft is held so that, as the eccentric assembly rotates, the mainshaft gyrates, with the eccentric assembly rotating about a center hole within a central hub of the crusher. A method of making or retrofitting a crushing device such as, for example, a cone crusher or other gyratory crusher, is also provided.
Abstract:
A description is given of a cyclone burner for converting solid fuel comprising a substantially rotationally- symmetric whirling chamber (1) having an inlet (7) for introducing gas and fuel and means (7) for bringing the gas and fuel into rotation in the whirling chamber (1) and an outlet (4) for the gas and the converted fuel where the outlet (4) is centrally positioned at the outlet end (3) of the whirling chamber (1). The cyclone burner is characterized in that the inlet (7) for in¬ troducing the gas and fuel is connected to the whirling chamber (1) at the outlet end (3), and in that the whirling chamber (1) is arranged so that its axis of symmetry (8) is angled relative to the horizontal plane.
