Abstract:
A compressor system includes a compressor having a discharge port; and a shell and tube heat exchanger fluidly coupled to the discharge port. The heat exchanger includes a shell and a tube bundle disposed inside the shell. The shell includes a first flat portion extending along a longitudinal axis of the shell from a first end of the shell to a second end of the shell, and a second flat portion parallel to the first flat portion and extending along the longitudinal axis between the first end and the second end. The tube bundle is positioned between the first flat portion and the second flat portion, and extends along the longitudinal axis between the first end of the shell and the second end of the shell.
Abstract:
An electric powered pneumatic balancer is provided. In an embodiment it includes: a housing; an air balancer located in the housing; and a compressor located in the housing. The housing includes an opening to receive air to the compressor as it generates compressed air. The compressor is in fluid communication with the balancer which operates in response to receipt of the pressurized air from the compressor. An electrical power supply is in electrical communication with the compressor to power the compressor to generate the pressurized air.
Abstract:
The present invention provides methods and mechanisms to selectively fix or free a planetary carrier of a epicyclic gearbox, thereby allowing dual modal operation of the gearbox and facilitating selective operation of a device, such as a winch, having capacity to safely and efficiently operate in a high load heavy lifting utility mode and a low load light lifting personnel mode.
Abstract:
The winch includes a gear assembly having a first stage and a last stage. A first input is coupled to the first stage and a second input is coupled to the last stage. In a first operative condition, the first input drives a sun gear of the first stage while a planetary carrier of the last stage is fixed so that the sun gear of the first stage drives the gear assembly to output motion through a ring gear. In a second operative condition, the second input drives the planetary carrier of the last stage while the sun gear of the first stage is fixed so that the planetary carrier of the last stage drives the gear assembly to output motion through the ring gear. The first condition provides a first output torque and the second condition provides a second output torque less than the first output torque.
Abstract:
A server may receive an opt-in or an opt-out request from a customer device. The opt-in request allows a registered dealer device to view and control settings on a sensor/actuator at a customer site. The server may provide a graphical user interface to the dealer device. The graphical user interface is structured to allow the registered dealer device to view and control settings of the sensor/actuator. The server may be structured to receive changes to the settings of the sensor/actuator from the registered dealer device via the graphical user interface and to then change the settings of the sensor/actuator.
Abstract:
A computer and a server may communicate via a web cookies such as local shared objects. The computer may detect the presence of one local shared object and generate a second local shared object based on the first local shared object. The computer may perform an action based on the second local shared object.
Abstract:
An end cap (130) is provided for use in a filter element. The end cap (130) includes a first side (160) providing a first head connection (162) which corresponds to a connection of a first filter head (12) and a first media connection (132, 134) which corresponds to a connection of a filter media (108). The end cap (130) further includes a second side (180) providing a second head connection (182) which corresponds to a connection of a second filter head, the second connection is configured differently from the first connection, and a second media connection (132, 134) which corresponds to a connection of a filter media (108). A support (140) is provided for being received by a filter body (14), wherein the first side (160) may be coupled to a first filter head (12) and the second side (180) may be attached to one end of a filter media (108) or alternatively, the second side (180) may be coupled to a second filter head and the first side (160) may be attached to one end of a filter media (108).
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides for a lock cylinder having a rotatable spindle with at least one disc and at least one wafer housing rotatingly engaged therewith. A slidable wafer is carried on the wafer housing. A locking bar is operable to prevent rotation of the lock cylinder in a locked position and permit rotation of the lock cylinder in an unlocked position.
Abstract:
A user may select more than one device to be installed in a building. An order of installation of the devices may be determined based on the type of devices selected. A user may be presented with a module for each device selected. The modules may be presented in the order of installation. The modules may include instructions for installation for the corresponding device.
Abstract:
Hand-held power tools with an external composite sleeve having a forward portion and a rearward portion and defining an axially extending cavity. The power tools also include an internal metal housing having a substantially cylindrical body with a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart, longitudinally-extending front posts that project radially outward from the cylindrical body. The metal housing resides in the composite sleeve. The front posts can be closely spaced to or abut an inner surface of the forward end (e.g., front cap) of the sleeve. In a front exhaust configuration, the front posts and sleeve cooperate to define a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart gap spaces, a respective gap space bounded by adjacent posts, an outer surface of the cylindrical body and the inner surface of the sleeve.
