Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for wireless communication transmission power control are provided. Determination of gain factors and adjustments for physical channel reconfiguration in the context of transmission power control are addressed. Preferably, implementation is in conjunction with communication systems in which wireless communications are conducted between wireless transmit receive units (WTRUs) using multiple channels that are concurrently transmitted.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce complexity in detecting data at high speed. SOLUTION: K data signals are transmitted over a shared spectrum. A composite signal is received and sampled over the shared spectrum (48). The composite signal has the K transmitted data signals (48). A composite channel response matrix is generated (49) using a code and an impulse response of the K transmitted data signals. A block column of a composite channel correlation matrix is determined using the composite channel response matrix (50). Each block entry of the block column is a K by K matrix (51). At each frequency point k, the K by K matrix is determined by taking the Fourier transform of the block entries of the block column (52). An inverse of the K by K matrix is multiplied to the result of the Fourier transform (52). Data are retrieved from the K data signals using an inverse Fourier transform (55). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) system which is different from prior systems and equalizes received multi-path components. SOLUTION: Data is transferred in a wireless communication system, such as a wireless spread spectrum communication system. Data is encoded to produce a plurality of data streams. For each of a plurality of transmitting antennas 34, the data streams are used to produce a vector for transmission. Each transmission vector is transmitted by its transmitting antenna through a wireless air interface experiencing multipath. Multi-path components from each transmitted transmission vector are received by a plurality of receiving antennas 36. The received multi-plath components are equalized to recover the transmission vectors. The data are recovered from the recovered transmission vectors. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
