Abstract:
A magnesium alloy with improved resistance to oxidation and ignition is provided. The magnesium alloy comprises magnesium grains and an additive compound present at grain boundaries defined by the magnesium grains but absent in the magnesium grains. Further provided is a method for producing the magnesium alloy. The method comprises melting magnesium in a crucible at 600 to 800°C under a protective gas atmosphere to form molten magnesium, adding an additive to the molten magnesium, stirring the molten mixture for 1 to 400 minutes, casting the molten mixture in a mold at 100 to 300°C, and cooling the cast product. According to the method, the amount of the protective gas used can be reduced.

The present invention relates to a textile digital band which is capable of providing a high-speed communication path with surrounding computing devices, through easy and convenient attachment thereof to a conventional garment, and a fabrication method thereof. For this purpose, disclosed herein is a textile digital band comprising a plurality of warps formed parallel to each other in the first direction, and a plurality of wefts formed parallel to each other in the second direction perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the warp includes at least one digital yarn through which electrical currents can flow.

The field of the present invention relates to a scrubber using mesh filter and an exhaust gas treatment system using the scrubber, which makes it possible to collect powders on-time with little need for maintenances or repairs of the scrubber. More particularly, in the field of semiconductor fabrication industries the main process such as deposition or etching is rarely interrupted for the maintenance of the scrubber, hence the productivity is enhanced and the environment is saved. The present invention comprises : a process chamber to perform a fabrication process of the semiconductor devices; a process vacuum pump to inhale the exhaust gas from the process chamber; a housing provided with an inlet port and outlet port for an exhaust gas; a mesh filter which is placed between the inlet and outlet port of the housing, which passes the exhaust gas through, and which captures powders contained the exhaust gas at a capturing surface thereof; a powder detaching means to detach powders from the capturing surface of the mesh filter; a discharge port which is provided at a side of the housing and connected to a vacuum suction means to release the powders detached from the housing; a by-pass line which connects the process chamber directly to the process vacuum pump; and on/off valves controlling the flow of the exhaust gas from the process chamber to either the scrubber or the process vacuum pump.

The percussion absorbing pad and helmet are formed as a percussion absorbing elastic member of a three- dimensional elastic fiber in a hemispheric shape, and include a percussion absorbing bonded portion formed on at least two symmetrically opposed locations of the percussion absorbing pad. The percussion absorbing pad and the helmet using the same have superb flexibility and have sufficient shock absorbing capability.

Disclosed herein is a method of producing a filter medium for treating medium and high temperature exhaust gas using foam coating and a filter medium produced using the method. The filter medium has excellent heat resistance and heat contraction resistance, and exhibits partial dust collection efficiency of 99% or more by weight, total dust collection efficiency of 99.999% or more by weight, and high dust removal efficiency, for all dust particle sizes. Further, the filter media can be efficiently used to treat medium and high temperature exhaust gas because pores having an average pore size of 30 D or less are uniformly distributed on the surface of the filter media.

A lightweigth aluminum camshaft and manufacturing method thereof is provided. The method of manufacturing a lightweigth aluminum camshaft having a cam portion having cams the numver of which is same as that of valves in order to open and close suction and exhaust valves in an engine, and a shaft portion (3) on which the cam portion is mounted, includes the steps of separately fabricating the cam portion with cam pieces (2a), inserting the separately fabricated cam pieces as inserts into a mold, and injectiong molten aluminum alloy into the mold (4) through an aluminum casting method, to thereby from the cam pieces (2a) and a shaft portion (3) called a journal portion in an integral from. Simultaneously, a lightweight aluminum camshaft manufactured by the lightweight aluminum camshaft manufacturing method is provided. Here, a binder portion whose diameter is larger than that of the shaft portion and having binders each formed in the form of a reinforced rib coming into contact with the side surface of each cam piece, is provided in the joining portion of the cam pieces and the shaft portion, in order to enhance a joining intensity. Thus, the lightweight aluminum camshaft becomes lighter, has an excellent wear-resistant property, possesses a high durability and strength, and is inexpensive.

A distributed software integration service method for open robot development based on the Internet is disclosed, which makes it possible to manufacture a user-oriented robot through combination of independent heterogeneous modules. The invention involves a robot development procedure and a new robot development environment/tool for providing user-oriented services and for integrated operating of distributed software installed in the modules over the Internet. The robot development procedure includes three independent specialized development stages, i.e., a platform development stage, a module development stage, and a user-oriented robot development/user service development stage. The invention makes it possible to mass-produce autonomous robots in units of interoperable functional modules. It is also possible to meet various demands of consumers, achieve specialization, and accelerate technology development since the development procedures are specialized in an independent manner and are suitable for manufacturing a wide variety of robot products in small quantities.

An open distributed processing structured robot control software architecture is enclosed, which makes it possible to manufacture a user-oriented robot through combination of independent heterogeneous functional modules. The invention involves an open software framework for integrated operation and production of distributed software of the modules, and an autonomous robot control architecture suitable for distributed environments. The software framework indicates underlying software components for robot control and service creation. The invention makes it possible to mass-produce autonomous robots in units of interoperable functional modules. It is also possible to meet various demands of consumers, achieve specialization, and accelerate technology development since the development procedures are specialized in an independent manner and are suitable for manufacturing a wide variety of robot products in small quantities.
