    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving spread code information of a packet data channel in a communication system are provided to enhance a performance of a packet data channel, that is, a data throughput of a system, by using every Walsh code available for the packet data channel. CONSTITUTION: A base station transmitter judges Walsh codes available for a packet data channel(401).
