Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving spread code information of a packet data channel in a communication system are provided to enhance a performance of a packet data channel, that is, a data throughput of a system, by using every Walsh code available for the packet data channel. CONSTITUTION: A base station transmitter judges Walsh codes available for a packet data channel(401). The base station transmitter judges whether Walsh codes available for a packet data channel can be expressed only with an end point index of 5 bits(402). That is, it is judged whether there is a Walsh hole in a Walsh code list previously arranged with a receiver. If it is judged that there is no Walsh hole, the base station transmitter transmits only the end point information through a first packet data control channel(403). If there is a Walsh hole, the base station transmitter sets an MAC ID field(bit 1-bit 8) of a second packet data control channel with a predetermined value(404). The base station transmitter sets each value indicating availability or non-availability for the remaining 13 bits(bit 9-bit 21) of the second packet data control channel and transmits them(405).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving control information in a packet data transmission system are provided to simultaneously solve a BD(Blind Detection) problem generated when transmitting a packet control frame and a successive false alarm problem of another user by using a scrambler. CONSTITUTION: An error detection bit adding unit(110) adds an error detection bit to first control information having the first length and second control information having the second length which is F times of the first length. A convolutional encoder(130) performs the convolutional encoding of the output of the error detection bit adding unit(110), and outputs encoded symbols. A symbol repetition(140) instantly outputs symbols corresponding to first control information and repeatedly outputs symbols corresponding to second control information among the encoded symbols. A scrambler(180) scrambles the output of the symbol repetition(140) according to a scramble pattern corresponding to each control information. An interleaver(160) interleaves the output of the scrambler(180).

PURPOSE: An apparatus for transmitting and receiving data of a packet data control channel and a method therefor are provided to support the transmission of a packet data channel in a TDM(Time Division Multiplexing)/CDM(Code Division Multiplexing) format. CONSTITUTION: A base station receives information required for a scheduling(301). The base station performs the scheduling(302). The base station checks whether a PDCH(Packet Data Channel) is code-divided(303). If the PDCH is not code-divided, the base station generates a CRC bit, an error detection bit to be added to packet data control information to be transferred to a terminal selected by the scheduling(304), and transfers the error detection bit-added packet data control information through the first packet data control channel(305). If a TDM/CDM is used together, the base station generates and transfers packet data control information for the first user(306,307). The base station generates and transfers packet data control information for the second user(308,309).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for selectively transmitting reverse data in a mobile communication system are provided to efficiently transmit the reverse data and improve the performance of a system. CONSTITUTION: An MS(Mobile Station) receives information about a data rate according to a persistence value and a T/P(Traffic to Pilot Ration) from a base station through a message(4-1). The MS confirms whether data to be transmitted exist(4-5). If the data to be transmitted exist, the MS monitors an F-CDRCH(Forward-Common Data Rate CHannel) and receives maximum data rate information currently transmitted from the base station(4-10). The MS confirms a data rate capable of being transmitted from the F-CDRCH(4-15). If the F-CDRCH is not 9.6Kbps and an MADR(Maximum Allowable Data Rate) is over 9.6Kbps(4-25), the MS measures a maximum transferable power(4-50). The MS compares a power limiting value of the MS with a minimum value of the F-CDRCH(4-55), and determines a data rate to be transmitted(4-60). If the determined data rate is over 9.6Kbps(4-65), the MS sets an IAB(Increase Available Bit) transmitted to an R-RICH(Reverse-Rate Indicator CHannel) as "00", sets a data rate requested in a data rate portion of the R-RICH, and transmits a jamming signal to the base station(4-70). The MS monitors the F-CDRCH for monitoring a variation of the F-CDRCH(4-75). If the F-CDRCH is over an initially requested data rate(4-80), the MS starts an R-SCH(Reverse-Supplemental CHannel) at an initially transmitted data rate(4-85).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting a data traffic channel in a mobile communication system is provided to transmit additional control information to a preamble channel used for only user classification in an 1xEV-DV system for simultaneously transmitting fast packet data and voices. CONSTITUTION: An index grouping table(304) stores Walsh functions and packet control information indexes about the Walsh functions in a table mapped according to the number of packet control information. A control unit(303) selects the packet control information indexes according to packet control information from the index grouping table(304) and determines a bidirectional Walsh function about an in-phase channel and a quadrature-phase channel according to the selected indexed when receiving user information of a specific user and packet control information. A spreading unit(302) receives a mapped preamble signal, converts the received preamble signal into an in-phase channel signal and a quadrature-phase channel signal, spreads the in-phase channel signal and the quadrature-phase channel signal to a signal according to the determined packet control information indexes, and transmits the preamble signal through a complex PN(Pseudo Noise) spreading unit(305) and an RF(Radio Frequency) unit(315).

본 발명은 고차 변조(High Order Modulation) 방식을 적용하는 통신 시스템에서 저밀도 패리티 검사(low density parity check, 이하 LDPC) 부호를 사용함에 있어서, 구조적인 LDPC 부호로부터 다양한 부호어 크기를 생성하는 채널 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 다양한 부호어 길이를 지원하기 위하여 단축(shortening) 또는 천공(puncturing)을 적용함에 있어서 고차 변조 방식을 고려하여 최적화된 단축 및 천공 패턴을 구하는 방법을 제안하고, 상기 단축 및 천공 패턴을 상기 LDPC 부호의 패리티 검사 행렬에 적용한 후, 단축이 필요할 경우에 단축을 취한 다음에 정보 데이터 비트들이 입력되면 상기 패리티 검사 행렬을 이용하여 미리 설정되어 있는 부호화 방식으로 부호화하여 LDPC 부호어를 생성하고 천공이 필요할 경우에 천공을 적용하여 전송한다.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for encoding and decoding a channel in a communications system, and particularly, to a method and an apparatus for encoding and decoding a channel, in which various codeword sizes are generated from a structural low density parity check (LDPC) code when using an LDPC code in the communications system employing a high order modulation scheme. The present invention provides a method for obtaining a punctured pattern optimized by taking the high order modulation scheme into consideration when applying puncturing or shortening to provide various codeword lengths. After performing the shortening when the shortening is required, a parity inspection matrix is used to encode information data bits by a preset encoding scheme such that the LDPC codeword is generated and the optimized puncturing pattern is employed and transmitted when information data bits are inputted.
