    Abstract: A plasma/biofilter hybrid gas purification system is provided to increase purification capacity of the system at a low pressure loss without a tremendous cost increase, and treat harmful gases with high concentrations by applying a combination of a plasma type purification apparatus and a bio-filter device. A plasma/biofilter hybrid gas purification system comprises: twin-fluid nozzles(3) for supplying harmful contaminated gas exhausted from a contaminated gas exhaust source together with water; a plasma reaction part(2) which is installed under the twin-fluid nozzles, to which a high voltage applying device(1) is connected; a bio-filtration part(9) positioned under the plasma reaction part; a water tank(7) positioned under the bio-filtration part to store water flowing down from the bio-filtration part; a water pump(8) for circulating water stored in the water tank to the twin-fluid nozzles; and a blower(10) for supplying harmful contaminated gas to the twin-fluid nozzles. The plasma/biofilter hybrid gas purification system further comprises: a neutralizer supply unit(4) and a nutrient supply unit(5) for quantitatively supplying a neutralizer and a nutrient into the water tank; and an air-bubble supply unit(6) for consistently supplying oxygen to microorganisms presenting in the water tank. Further, the plasma reaction part is installed at end parts of the twin-fluid nozzles.

    Abstract: A smoke reduction apparatus using a spiral discharge electrode is provided to reduce PMs(Particulate Matter) due to inertia force by using centrifugal force. In a smoke reduction apparatus using a spiral discharge electrode(2), the discharge electrode is installed at a center axis of a housing(1). Both ends of the discharge electrode are mounted at a support(6). A ground electrode(3) is mounted at a periphery of the housing. The discharge electrode is connected to a high voltage generator(5). The discharge electrode is easily rotated at the support by a rotating motor. The discharge electrode is fixed and mounted to the support. A plurality of dimples(7) are formed on a surface of the discharge electrode to accelerate turbulence formation of a PM particle.
