Abstract: A medical image processing apparatus employs a trained model generated by performing machine learning using training data that includes first input data including a first image regarding a liver, and portal vein branch labeling data in which a portal vein branch label is attached to a portal vein region in the liver in the first image for each portal vein branch corresponding to a hepatic segment. The medical image processing apparatus uses the trained model to assign the portal vein branch label to each image unit element of a second image region including at least a liver region of the second image included in a second input data which is the same type as the first input data, and divides the liver region included in the second input data into hepatic segments based on the portal vein branch label assigned to each image unit element of the second image region.

Abstract: The present disclosure, in some embodiments, relates to a method of generating a prognosis for a patient. The method includes accessing automatically segmented pericoronary adipose tissue (PCAT) corresponding to a patient within an electronic memory. A plurality of non-confounding PCAT features are generated by measuring values of Hounsfield units for an imaging unit within the PCAT. The measured values of the Hounsfield units are predominately free of iodine confounding and artifacts. The plurality of non-confounding PCAT features are provided to a regression model. The regression model is configured to generate a prognosis for the patient using the plurality of non-confounding PCAT features

The processor is configured to output permission and non-permission information indicating whether or not the energization is permitted. Whether or not the energization is permitted is determined on the basis of a captured image that has been obtained by imaging the luminal organ with the endoscope and that includes the treatment tool.

Abstract: A system for evaluating mental health of patients includes a memory and a control system. The memory contains executable code storing instructions for performing a method. The control system is coupled to the memory and includes one or more processors. The control system is configured to execute the machine executable code to cause the control system to perform the method: A selection of answers associated with a patient is received. The selection of answers corresponds to each question in a series of questions from mental health questionnaires. Unprocessed MRI data are received. The unprocessed MRI data correspond to a set of MRI images of a biological structure associated with the patient. The unprocessed MRI data is processed to output a set of MRI features. Using a machine learning model, the selection of answers and the set of MRI features are processed to output a mental health indication of the patient.
