Abstract:
A social proxy and protocol gateway for interfacing with a carrier network, a social listening device, a social network or proprietary social feedback apparatus, and a contact center and contact center database is disclosed. A data link is connected to a carrier network to receive, author tags, attributes, and routing information requests and other routing data. Additional data links are connected to a contact center database and a social network listening device or proprietary social feedback apparatus to obtain information used in determining routing and tagging instructions. A user interface is connected to the social proxy and protocol gateway to accept configurable conditions for determining routing instructions. A text conversion function and speech conversion function is disclosed for providing media conversion for the requirements of each target enterprise contact center.
Abstract:
A method of tuning a hearing device includes sending a test signal to a model of a hearing device that may be remote from the actual hearing device being tuned. The test signal is encoded by the model and sent to the hearing device being tuned. The user of that hearing device sends a response signal based at least in part on the encoded test signal. This response is received and compared to the original test signal. Thereafter, an operational parameter is sent to the hearing device based on the comparison.
Abstract:
A method and system for operating a multitenancy telephony system including a call queue that stores call requests received from a plurality of users; an expandable and contractible telephony resource cluster that establishes call sessions for call requests; a analysis system that calculates capacity requirements of the system; a resource allocator that manages the scaling and operation of the telephony resource cluster; and a plurality of telephony network channels that are used as telephony communication channels for call sessions.
Abstract:
Methods relate to adapting a user interface view, provided by an integrated media/search web site via a global informational network, based on a user's lifestyle. The methods include populating a user interface view of the web site with a first set of links, wherein the integrated web site integrates a streaming digital media provider station with a global search engine. A user selects a link from the first set of links or performs a key word search using the search engine. The user interface view is then re-populated with an updated set of links based on demographic and psychographic associations made by the search engine in response to at least the most recently selected link, key word search, or streaming media content. If a new link or a new key word search is performed, the user interface view is again re-populated with an updates set of links.
Abstract:
A communication session is established between a mobile station and an interactive voice response system (figure 1). One or more menu options in a speech form are received at the mobile station. The mobile station converts these menu options from the speech form to a displayable form. A stored menu at the mobile station is updated with the displayable form. The updated menu may then be presented to the user. The menu options reflected in the displayable form may be stored in at the mobile station and/or at external devices that may or may not be associated with the IVR system.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus to disambiguate requests are presented. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a request for information from a user. Then data is retrieved from a back-end database in response to the request. Based on a predetermined configuration of a disambiguation system and the data retrieved, the ambiguity within the request is dynamically resolved.

Abstract:
System and method for receiving documents of different formats from external sources, analyzing the documents and transforming them into an internal format comprising tokens for effective browsing and referencing, communicating data volumes of transformed documents to a user device, browsing and vocalizing tokens from the documents to the user, receiving and processing verbal user commands pertaining to said vocalized tokens, retrieving documents pertaining to the user command and vocalizing the retrieved documents to said user.
Abstract:
A method of obtaining information using a mobile device can include receiving a request including speech data from the mobile device, and querying a network service using query information extracted from the speech data, whereby search results are received from the network service. The search results can be formatted for presentation on a display of the mobile device. The search results further can be sent, along with a voice grammar generated from the search results, to the mobile device. The mobile device then can render the search results .
