Abstract:
PURPOSE: A facsimile device capable of controlling the level of a signal coming into a handset is provided to control the level of a dial tone fed back to a receiving end of a handset from a transmission end of a modem through an LIU(Line Interface Unit), thereby reducing noise components included in the dial tone. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(112) has a dial key. A modem(162) decodes fax data to be transmitted to an outer apparatus connected to the modem through a communication network, and encodes fax data received from the outer apparatus. A handset(164) performs voice communication with the outer apparatus. An LIU(166) selectively connects either the modem(162) or the handset(164) with the communication network, and controls the level of a signal coming into the handset(164). When a dial key signal is inputted through the key input unit(112) while the handset(164) is in hook-off state, a controller(180) connects a transmission end of the modem(162) with the communication network, and controls the LIU(166) to reduce a dial tone, corresponding to the dial key signal, by a predetermined level.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and a device for receiving fax/asynchronous data in a communication terminal, are provided to automatically convert a service mode according to incoming signals in a control station, so as to easily receive fax/asynchronous data without an additional operation. CONSTITUTION: If a communication terminal is set in a fax mode, a signal processor in a control station checks whether a fax tone is detected in the incoming of calls. If the fax tone is detected, a fax modem is operated and a wireless channel is connected by a fax service option. If the fax tone is not detected, whether an asynchronous data tone is detected within a set-up time is checked. If the asynchronous data tone is detected, an asynchronous data modem is operated and the wireless channel is connected by an asynchronous data service option. If the asynchronous data tone is not detected, a vocoder is operated and the wireless channel is connected by a voice service option.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for correcting time information of a transmitting terminal identification(TTI) as a receiving station time and transmitting corrected time information is provided to remove an inconvenience occurred according to a difference of a time by outputting time information displayed in the TTI of fax data on the basis of a receiving part. CONSTITUTION: In the case that fax data are outputted, it is judged whether time information among a TTI is changed on the basis of a space in which a receiving facsimile is located and changed time information is outputted(S200). In the case that time information is changed and changed time information is outputted, a transmitting time of fax data is corrected on the basis of the space in which the receiving facsimile is located(S300). The corrected transmitting time of fax data is registered and stored in the TTI(S400). Registered TTI information is transmitted to the receiving facsimile(S500). In the case that transmitted TTI information is received in the receiving facsimile, TTI information including changed time information is outputted(S700).

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing a facsimile module in a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) terminal is provided to confirm the state of the facsimile module in a state in which the facsimile module is installed using a self diagnosis function. CONSTITUTION: If a current is a test mode(S201), the test mode is displayed on a screen(S202). A function key is input from an operator(S203), the input key is a facsimile software download diagnosis function key(S204). If the input key is not the facsimile software download diagnosis function key, it is confirmed whether the input key is a local facsimile transmission path diagnosis function key(S212). If the input key is the local facsimile transmission path diagnosis function key, a 1100Hz tone is generated(S213). It is checked whether an ESC(Escape) key is inputted(S214). If the ESC key is inputted, it is judged that a local facsimile transmission path is normal. If the input key is a local facsimile reception path diagnosis function key(S215), it is checked whether the 1100Hz tone is input(S216). If the 1100Hz tone is input, it is judged that a reception path is normal and the 1100Hz tone is displayed on the screen(S217). A data communication apparatus is provided with a VoIP processor and a modem that interchangeably executes a standard communication mode and a high-speed communication mode, the standard communication mode exchanging the voice packet at a predetermined transfer rate, the high-speed communication mode exchanging the voice packet at a rate faster than the rate of the standard communication mode. When capability information of an opposing apparatus is obtained, in accordance with a predetermined communication protocol, and it is detected that the opposing apparatus has the high-speed communication mode, the high-speed communication mode is selected for execution.
