An image processing system may be configured to perform a connection information transmission process in which connection information used for establishment of communication using a communication protocol is transmitted. Portions of the system may further perform a process by which communication is changed from another communication protocol to the communication protocol in which the connection information is transmitted. Additionally, a job transmission process in which a job is transmitted from an information processing apparatus to an image processing apparatus via the communication protocol may be performed. Based on the job information, an execution process, in which image processing is executed, may be performed.

In an information processing apparatus (200) capable of executing a first wireless communication method and a second wireless communication method having a communication range wider than that of the first wireless communication method, an apparatus to be caused to execute predetermined processing is searched for using both the first wireless communication method and the second wireless communication method. When a common apparatus has been found by both the first wireless communication method and the second wireless communication method, the common apparatus is decided as the apparatus to be caused to execute the predetermined processing by the second wireless communication method.

Augmenting media based on proximity detection involves detecting proximate devices of participants of an event via a wireless proximity device. User media associated with the participants is obtaining based on the proximity detection and further based on contact data associated with the participants. Event media that records an aspect of the event is obtained the event media is combined with the user media to form augmented media, wherein the augmented media simulates the participant's presence in the event media.

A method of forming an image using a mobile terminal supporting near field communication (NFC) includes launching a mobile application corresponding to an application identifier of tag information of an NFC tag obtained through first NFC tagging, generating data of a job to be performed by an image forming apparatus through the mobile application when the NFC tag is detected again through second NFC tagging, the job being determined according to a state of the mobile application during the second NFC tagging, and transmitting the generated data to the image forming apparatus.
