Abstract:
The network facsimile apparatus is able to communicate using both a public switched telephone network and a computer network, and has a facsimile section which transmits and receives an image via the public switched telephone network, a mail section which transmits and receives an e-mail via the computer network, a web server which transmits a reply to a client in response to a request from the client that is connected to said network apparatus via said computer network, a storage which is to store received, and a list generating section which generates a structured document of reception list. Then the web server receives an operation request concerning a reception list from a client, the web server provides the received operation request to the list generating section.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus that is openable by a first case and a second case (13a, 13b) being unfolded, and includes an imaging section which is provided in the second case and opposed to the first case where a read target medium is placed, a recognition section (1) which, when a predetermined indicator on the first case side is photographed by the imaging section, recognizes the predetermined indicator by analyzing a photographed image, a judgment section (1) which judges whether or not the first case and the second case have been closed into a predetermined state, based on a result of recognition of the indicator by the recognition section, and a determination section (1) which determines the photographed image taken by the imaging section as a storage target, when the judgment section judges that the first case and the second case have been closed into the predetermined state.
Abstract:
A database of user preferences for a high quality picture is maintained. Preferences may be generated over time by tracking attributes of pictures that the user has deleted or failed to select for storage. When the camera is in preview mode, the camera may automatically capture image data for one or more pictures as a background operation. When the user commands the taking of a picture, the camera will capture image data for a user photo. A comparison may be made to determine which one of the automatically taken picture or the user photo has a higher correlation to user preferences for a quality photo. If the user photo has higher correlation, it may be retained in the customary manner for digital pictures. If the automatically taken photo has higher correlation, the user may be given the option to select the user photo or the automatically taken photo for retention.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a an electronic device such as a digital camera 300 that includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment a digital camera keep track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a "delete all transferred images" which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, a deletion criteria is used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus stores image data generated from a document scanned by a scanner on a removable medium. When storage on the removable medium is not completed, part of the image data that has been stored by that time is deleted from the removable medium.
Abstract:
A digital camera includes an image sensor; a buffer memory adapted to receive images from the image sensor and to store the images therein; an image processor adapted to receive selected images and to process the selected images, including applying a video compression algorithm to the selected images; an image storage device adapted to store the processed, selected images; and an image selector adapted to select the selected images among the stored images in the buffer memory based on at least one image selection criterion, and to cause unselected stored images to be discarded from the buffer memory.
Abstract:
A procedure for transmission and/or receiving of digital picture data and/or digital data of acoustic signals in a mobile radio network, especially according to a radio network standard of GSM, GPRS and/or UMTS, via a communication service of the mobile radio network. A digital picture frame equipped and/or adapted to perform at least partially the procedure and having a display unit for displaying digital picture data, at least one storage unit for storage of digital picture data, a control unit for controlling the displaying of digital picture data from the storage unit on the display unit and a control input unit for detection of inputs to control functions of the control unit.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus that can flexibly deal with various needs of a user while effectively utilizing a memory unit thereof that can store a plurality of data. The data processing apparatus, which is equipped with a memory unit capable of storing data, executes processing of transmitting the data of the memory unit to an external apparatus and erasing the data of the object of transmission to the external apparatus from the memory unit. An acceptance of a specific user request related to processing of the data transmitted to the external apparatus is allowed in a case where the data has been transmitted to the external apparatus. The data processing apparatus executes processing using the data transmitted to the external apparatus in a case where the acceptance of the specific user request is performed via the user interface unit.
