Abstract: PURPOSE:To fetch out alternately two wavelength light necessary for a two wavelength multi-item spectroscopic analyzing apparatus in a good SN ratio with a simple construction, by introducting the light from the spectrum face and using a spectroscope in an opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:Desired two wavelength light is outputted alternatively and selectively by a wavelength selective plate 11 provided on the spectrum face of a spectroscope and an image is formed on a SELFOC lens or an optical fiber 13 being situated in a conjugate position to the plate 11 through a camera mirror 8, a grating 10, a collimator mirror 9 and a slit 12 and then, said image is made incident to a flow cell 14 of every analyzing item. The desired two wavelength light necessary for two wavelength multi-item spectroscopic analysis is fetched out alternately in a good S/N ratio by a simple construction eliminating the need for a respective optical element such as interference filters etc. of this wavelength light.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve precision by eliminating the effect of temperature fluctuations of interference filters upon a measurement result, by irradiating all interference filters with light from a light source all the time and by guiding light passed through a specific filter to a sample. CONSTITUTION:Light guides 22 are provided as many as interference filters 24, which are irradiated with light from a light source 21 all the time. A rotary member 25 is turned under an interference filter holding member 23 fixed in position to guide light passed through a prescribed interference filter 24 to a prism 29 through a light guide 28, and the luminous flux is changed in direction to a prescribed phodometric position to irradiate a reaction pipe 35, containing a sample liquid 34, with the luminous flux; and the light passed through the reaction pipe 35 is photodetected by a photodetector 36 and converted photoelectrically to measure the light absorbance of the sample liquid 34. Each interference filter 24 never changes in characteristics at the beginning of photometric operation, so accurate data is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve measurement of fast response in precision by supplying light beams from two spectrometers to a sample cell at the same time, by separating the transmitted beams into spectral components again by two spectrometers and then by simultaneously detecting them by two detectors. CONSTITUTION:Light from light source 1 strikes spectrometers 2 and 8 at the same time and is separated monochromatic components of lambda1 and lambda2 in wavelength. The components of two wavelengths strike sample cell 3 at the same time, components transmitted through cell 3 are caused to strike spectrometers 15 and 16 again for spectral diffraction and their outputs are detected by striking detectors 17 and 18. Detected lambda1 and lambda2 signals, after being amplified by preamplifiers 19 and 20, have light absorptivity converted by logarithmic converters 21 and 22 respectively and difference operator 14 calculates and outputs a difference between the both to analog or digital memory scope 7, so that only absorptivity signals of two wavelengths will be recorded or stored in memory scope 7. Thus, the measurement of fast response can be improved in precision.

When measuring, a coexisting material B is put into a specimen cell 7, and corresponding signals lambda1, lambda2 are converted into a ratio K of respective absorbancy signals in the unit 25, and are stored 30. Next, with respect to the mixture C of the material being measured A and the coexising material B in the cell 7, the absorbancy signal is processed 25, and is multiplied by the constant k to determine the differential signal, so that the differential absorbancy of the material being measured A may be obtained. Or, when measuring the wavelength with the spectroscope 3 alone, in order to eliminate the effect of coefficient k due to the coexisting material B, the differential absorbancy spectrum is divided by the coefficient k to obtain the differential absorbancy of the material being measured A.

For example, from the difference in absorbancies of lambda20 and lambda21, lambda18 and lambda19, lambda15 and lambda16, the degree of tchyme X, the degree of hemolysis Y and the degree of jaundice Z are respectively obtained by using the formulas (1), (2), (3) (where, An-m is absorbancy difference between lambdan and lambdam; Tn-m is the unit absorbancy difference per unit of degree of specimen between lambdan and lambdam; Hn-m is the absorbancy difference per unit degree of hemolysis at lambdam; Bn-m is the absorbancy difference per unit degree of jaundice at lambdam) and from these values, the value S having been obtained through the colorimetiric analysis of the sample is corrected by the use of the formula (4) (alpha, beta, gamma are conversion coefficients), whereby the correct analytical value S is obtained.
