Abstract: A dual band patch antenna for a Zigbee system is provided to decrease a size of the antenna by forming an F-type slot and a chair-type slot on a square/non-square patch antenna. A feeding line is arranged to traverse a center portion of a square microstrip patch antenna in a normal direction. A radiating patch surface(310) is attached to one side of a slot and freely radiates electromagnetic waves, which are generated from a magnetic current, to a free space.
