Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle for continuous casting in which durability is enhanced by arranging a refractory layer of high performance, e.g., high corrosion resistance or high adhesion preventive properties, on the inner hole side, and to provide a method for manufacturing a nozzle for continuous casting in which push breaking of the outer circumferential side layer due to the difference in thermal expansion between the inner hole side layer and the outer circumferential side layer of body material is prevented, and exfoliation of the inner hole side layer in the way of casting is prevented. SOLUTION: The nozzle for continuous casting has such an integral structure as the boundary portion of the inner hole side layer 2 and an intermediate layer 4 touches the boundary portion of the intermediate layer 4 and the outer circumferential side layer 3 directly wherein the bonding strength of the intermediate layer and the inner hole side layer and the outer circumferential side layer adjoining the intermediate layer is 0.01 to 1.5 Mpa in a 1,000°C non-oxidizing atmosphere, and a compression rate K(%) of the intermediate layer in the 1,000°C non-oxidizing atmosphere under the pressure of 2.5 Mpa is 10% to 80%. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum component for an ultra-precision machining device including a sialon sintered compact or a silicon nitride sintered compact which is substantially improved in workability. SOLUTION: The sialon sintered compact or the silicon nitride sintered compact which is prepared by sintering a β-silicon nitride powder with the addition of a sintering aid is used to obtain the fluid static pressure guide device component or the tool supporting component. The bending strength of the sintered compacts is preferably 400-600 Mpa, a Young's modulus is preferably 260 GPa or more, a coefficient of thermal expansion at a room temperature is preferably 1.5×10 -6 /K or less, the specific gravity is preferably 3.27 or less, and a fracture toughness value by SEPB method is preferably 4-5.5 MPa m 1/2 .
