The present application relates generally to a water injected screw compressor including cooperating rotors. More particularly, the present application relates to rotary screw compressor adapted to deliver oil free air from a water cooled compression chamber. One embodiment of the present application is a unique water cooled screw compressor. Another embodiment is a rotary screw compression system. Other embodiments include methods, systems, apparatuses, devises, hardware and combinations for rotary screw compressors. Further embodiments, forms, features, aspects, benefits and advantages of the present application will become apparent from the description and figures provided herewith.

Each housing shell is a substantially rigid molded shell body. Each housing shell inner surface includes at least one overmold motor mount member of a resilient material directly, integrally attached to an inner surface of the respective housing shell.

A power tool includes a motor having an outwardly extending rotor that defines a drive axis, a housing surrounding the motor, and a gearcase that includes a drive train coupled to the rotor and configured to drive a tool output. The gearcase includes a proximal end and an opposite distal end that is exposed to the outside of the tool forward of the housing. The gearcase includes respective locking elements spaced around the periphery of the gearcase proximal end. A motor mount includes spaced apart locking elements that are configured to engage with respective gearcase locking elements. The proximal end portion of the gearcase is adapted to make contact with the motor mount between the locking elements and then rotate such that the gearcase locking elements engage the motor mount locking elements.

Ring gears with a cylindrical ring gear body having a wall with a longitudinal length extending between opposing first and second ends, the wall having an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface has a first portion that extends a first sub-length of the ring gear body and a longitudinally spaced apart second portion that extends a second sub-length of the ring gear body. The first portion extends from the first end of the ring gear inward and the second portion extends from the second end of the ring gear inward. The inner surface of the first portion comprises a plurality of longitudinally extending splines and the inner surface of the second portion is devoid of the splines of the first portion.

A power tool includes a housing, an electric motor mounted in the housing, and a switching device for reversing rotation direction of the motor. The switching device includes an actuator slidably secured to the housing and movable between first and second positions. The actuator includes a magnet. A first ferromagnetic member is attached to a first housing section so as to be within range of attraction force of the magnet when the actuator is in the first position and a second ferromagnetic member is attached to a second housing section so as to be within range of attraction force of the magnet when the actuator is in the second position. A hall sensor is attached to the housing so as to be proximate the magnet as the actuator is moved between first and second positions. Proximity of the magnet and hall sensor reverses the direction of rotation of the motor.

A modular silencer for use on a compressor or blower mounted on a vehicle. The compressor has an intake port and an exhaust port, and the silencer has an inlet port in communication with the exhaust port of the compressor. The silencer includes a silencer housing and a resonator assembly removably positioned inside the housing. In one embodiment, the compressor includes a compressor housing and a power input shaft protruding from the compressor housing adjacent the air exhaust port. The silencer housing preferably includes a concave portion that at least partially receives the power input shaft. The silencer housing can also include a groove on the inner surface, and the resonator assembly can be at least partially positioned in the groove. Preferably, the resonator assembly includes a resonator plate, a plurality of resonator pipes extending through the plate, and a reinforcing flange coupled between at least two of the resonator pipes.

A sleeve is positioned within the cylinder bore and is movable between a first position, a second position, and a third position, and an electrical actuator is at least partially disposed within the actuator space and is operable in response to the control signal to move the sleeve between the first position, the second position, and the third position.

A separator for separating a liquid-gas flow into a liquid and a compressed gas includes a housing that defines an inner space and that is adapted to contain the full pressure of the compressed gas. The housing includes a liquid-gas inlet, a liquid outlet, and a gas outlet. A first stage separator is positioned to receive the liquid-gas flow from the inlet. The first stage separator is operable to separate a first portion of the liquid from the liquid-gas flow. A second stage separator includes a swirl vane separator and is positioned to receive the liquid-gas flow from the first stage separator and is operable to separate a second portion of the liquid from the liquid-gas flow. A third stage separator is positioned to receive the liquid-gas flow from the swirl vane separator and is operable to separate a third portion of the liquid from the liquid-gas flow. The first stage separator, the second stage separator, and the third stage separator are completely contained within the housing.
