Abstract:
A retractable window covering (1) that has a flexible fabric panel (5) having a bottom edge (11) with a weight bar (13) attached to it. The fabric panel has one or more elongate pockets (19) across its width, accommodating a length-expanding stiffening rod (21) with: - an elongate guiding element (27) of non-magnetic material; - a first magnet (41) guided for movement along the elongate guiding element; and - a second magnet (43) guided for movement along the elongate guiding element and positioned in respect of the first magnet, so that the first and second magnets repulse one another and the guiding element limits and guides the movement of the first and second magnets in respect to one another.
Abstract:
A retractable cellular shade is illustrated in various embodiments to consist of a support structure that could assume numerous forms including cellular material, flexible sheets of material, tapes or ribbons, or flexible monofilaments or similar cords of natural or synthetic fibers with the support structure supporting a plurality of vanes or slats in various configurations and orientations. The movement of the vanes or slats is totally dependent upon movement of the support structure. The fabric so formed can be incorporated into a covering for architectural openings with the covering including a headrail with means for gathering the fabric material within the headrail.
Abstract:
A space division system (100) is disclosed, with the space division system (100) incorporating technology. The space division system (100) is disclosed as having a space divider (102) vertically suspended from a rail system (104). The rail system (104) includes a rail (106) with a pair of hanger clips (108) releasably secured to the rail (106) and capable of being moved along a continuum of the length of the rail (106). In one embodiment, the space divider (102) includes a main body (114) consisting of an opaque fabric. Associated with the main body (114) is lighting technology including a series of LED lights (116). Arrow lights (118) may be activated in an appropriate manner for emergency or other purposes. Color changing is also provided for purposes of wayfinding, signaling occupant activities or other external or internal circumstances.
Abstract:
A supportedly suspending device detached and moved easily and suspending various types of articles, wherein rectangular openings (22a, 22b) are formed in a rectangular platy member near two sides (20a, 20b) opposed to each other, one end (10a) of a band (10) is attached to one (22a) of the openings, and a hook-shaped locking device (30) allowing a hand luggage to be suspended therefrom is attached to an intermediate partition plate (23) formed between the openings (22a, 22b) and, on the band (10), a male surface fastener (12b) is installed on the plane of the band forming an outer peripheral side roughly in one half part thereof in longitudinal direction when the band (10) is wound around a mounted part (5) and a female surface fastener (12a) is installed roughly in the other half part.
Abstract:
The anti-friction device for the sliding of cloth rings (A) of curtains, pelmets (M) and similar according to the present invention consists of a shaped element (1) out of wood, metal, plastic or other material, corresponding to the curving of the lateral surface of the support (B), provided with means (2, 3) for the application into the internal upper portion (SSI) of each cloth ring (A), so as to be arranged between said ring (A) and said support (B), thus helping the reciprocal sliding.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a curtain hanging member with which a curtain can be easily and swiftly attached to the curtain hanging member and the curtain can be fixed firmly in terms of strength. The curtain hanging member includes a strip-shaped support plate (2) which can be disposed horizontally, a fixing plate (3) for attaching a curtain (C1) and provided to be pendent from the support plate (2), male engaging elements (8) of a surface fastener arranged on a front face of the fixing plate (3), and a curtain rail (5) for hanging and sliding a curtain (C2) on a lower face of a rear end of the support plate (2). The support plate (2), the fixing plate (3), and the curtain rail (5) are successively and integrally molded and the male engaging elements (8) are also integrally molded with the fixing plate (3) at the same time by using thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resin by extrusion or injection molding. Female engaging elements (9) of a surface fastener are attached to the curtain (C1) and the curtain (Cl) is fixed by engaging the female engaging elements (9) with the male engaging elements (8) of the fixing plate (3).
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a two panel drapery lining (210). Each panel (210) includes a vertical hem (212a, 212b) formed by folding over one vertical edge of each panel (210) and stitching (214a, 214b) along a vertical line so as to leave a channel (223) formed between the hem (212a, 212b) and an opposing portion of the panel (210). The vertical stitching line (214a, 214b) includes a gap so as to leave an opening (216) into the channel (223). A magnetic sealing strip (211) is removably disposable within the channels (223) by insertion into the channel (223) through the opening (216). When the panels (210) are overlapped, the inner vertical edges may be secured to each other by the magnetic sealing strips (211).
Abstract:
A motor-operated panel system includes a panel assembly (30) consisting of an elongated flexible web (40) formed of a plurality of different panels (85, 86, 87, 88) connected end-to-end for controlling the transmission of light, heat or air through a window (75) and/or for producing different decorative scenes within a room. The panel assembly (30) is wound on substantially identical elongated and spacedly arranged hollow rollers (80, 81) including an upper roller (80) which contains a reversible motor (215), gear train (230,231,232), magnetic brake (220,221) and a position sensor (310) totally within the interior of the upper hollow roller (80). The position sensor (310) serves to sense the absolute rotational position of the upper roller (80). The lower roller (81) contains a torsional spring (160) which is prewound to exert a pulling torque on the panel assembly (30), which torque is normally resisted by the magnetic brake (220,221) in the upper roller (80). The panel system is controlled remotely from a panel control (31,32) which may be wall mounted, communicating with the panel system via a data bus. Several panel systems may be controlled from a single panel control (31, 32) and/or any panel system may be operable from more than one panel control (31, 32).
