The invention relates to a part-processing machine having, in series, consecutive parts on a belt (2) moving same along a main conveying line. Selectively identified non-compliant parts are removed from said conveying line, into a transfer device (1) by means of pickup tools (8) supported on the periphery of a rotating drum (6) mounted transversely to the conveying line and arranged to rotate about itself so as to pass over the belt, enabling the non-compliant parts to be picked up by said pickup tools and released once they have been transported away from the conveying line. The pickup tools have pneumatic gripping heads, more particularly for example suction cups. Said pneumatic gripping heads are depressurized relative to the surrounding air by means of a low-pressure chamber provided inside the drum, to which each head is connected by a tube inside a tool support arm.

This invention relates to an apparatus for conveying eggs, comprising: a first endless conveyor (19) or at least gathering and characterizing the eggs, wherein the first conveyor comprises at least a single conveying row of egg carriers (11) in the forward conveying direction T, and a second endless conveyor (2), for taking over the eggs from the first conveyor and for thereupon conveying and sorting the eggs, wherein the second conveyor is arranged under the first conveyor in a direction P and thereby crosses the first conveyor, with at least a single conveying row of egg carriers (21) in the direction P, wherein the carriers of the first conveyor, at least in the transfer referred to, are movable in the direction P, wherein the eggs are handed over from the first to the second conveyor with a relative speed in the conveying direction T of approximately 0 m/s in receiving the eggs in the egg carriers of the second conveyor.

The invention relates to a device for transporting a stack formed of a plurality of open egg cartons, which are arranged on top of one another and filled with fresh eggs, to a separating device for the egg cartons and to a stacking device for the emptied egg cartons, wherein said transport device is to be designed such that the stacks formed of the egg cartons can be transported without damaging fresh eggs, regardless of the nature of the stacks, and moreover de-stacking can be carried out without manual activities. According to the invention, the stacks formed by egg cartons arranged on top of one another are transported on platforms (11) to a de-stacking station (15) in order to support the respective bottom egg carton in the stack over the entire surface area. For this purpose, the respective bottom egg carton of the stack rests on support panels (12) provided with centering elements (14), which positively engage in the respective bottom egg carton in the stack from the lower face. The device according to the invention is particularly suited to separate the egg cartons which are transported away from a refrigerated warehouse and filled with fresh eggs and to subsequently empty said cartons.

This invention relates to an apparatus for turning eggs, comprising in succession, • a feeding device (13) for feeding eggs substantially over a horizontal surface in a conveying direction T to a turning track (1), whereby at least one row of successive eggs is formed, • a turning track (1), situated in line with the row, for rotating the eggs, in succession, to a direction with their pointed ends each pointing in upstream direction, and thereupon with their pointed end rotating and ending up substantially vertically, wherein all rotation is effected by rolling movements, and • a discharge track (30,31), situated in line with the row, for discharging the eggs from the turning track to a processing unit. With great advantage, the eggs, while being processed continuously and at high speed, are rotated in a proper direction to be packaged immediately after. The invention further provides a method for turning eggs.
Abstract:
An end of arm tool that is capable of handling fragile items such as eggs that are packaged in containers (e.g., egg cartons) that require special handling is provided. The end of arm tool comprises vacuum cup assemblies to grip the top surfaces of the packages, clamp fingers to clamp the edges of the packages, and optionally a pusher assembly to release the packages from the clamp fingers. In addition, a method of loading packages into cases using the end of arm tool apparatus of the present invention is provided. A gripper may be provided to place divider sheets between packages in the cases.
