Abstract:
A device for holding a container comprising a stationary jaw and a movable jaw mounted on the stationary jaw to be movable between a closed position for holding the container and an open position for releasing the container. A resilient element connecting the two jaws together to urge the movable jaw towards the closed position. The resilient element is a leaf spring having an end portion secured to the stationary jaw and an end portion secured to the movable jaw in order to carry the movable jaw. A container treatment installation is also provided including at least one such holder device.
Abstract:
An apparatus for conveying preforms to a blow molding machine, including a sorter that sorts and uniformly orients the preforms. A gravity conveyor feeds the preforms from the sorter to the blow molding machine. A transfer device between the sorter and the conveyor transfers the preforms from the sorter to the conveyor. The sorter, the conveyor, and the transfer device all have stepless adjoined guiding surfaces with specific contours that guide the preforms through the apparatus. The transfer device is an element with a curved guiding surface adjusted to the contour of the guiding surface of the sorter at the end facing the sorter, while being adjusted to the contour of the guiding surface of the gravity conveyor at the end facing the gravity conveyor. The two contours of the guiding surfaces facing the ends of the two devices are different, the guiding surface is stepless between the two ends.
Abstract:
An air conveyor system includes a base, a first guide position relative to the base, and a guide adjustment mechanism coupled to the first guide. The guide adjustment mechanism infinitely adjusts the first guide within a predetermined range and includes an electric linear actuator and a pivot arm coupled to the electric linear actuator that rotates in response to adjustment of the electric linear actuator. The guide adjustment mechanism also includes a first linkage arm coupled to the first guide and the pivot arm. The first linkage arm laterally moves the first guide responsive to rotation of the pivot arm.
Abstract:
A system for handling objects in rotary machines, and, more particularly, a system for handling preforms in blowing machines. The system picks up a pre-heated preform from a transferring star of the preform and takes it to a mold of a stretch-blowing machine by using movements entailing reduced acceleration values, in particular of the tangential acceleration component, so as to prevent uncontrolled oscillatory movements of the softened preform. In the blowing machine, the preform is blown to obtain a bottle, and the bottle thus obtained is picked up from the stretch-blow molding position and transferred to an unloading position.
Abstract:
A cause of deteriorating the hydrogen termination on the surface of a wafer is found to be water adsorbed on the surface. By exposing the wafer to an inert gas atmosphere containing an H2 gas so as to suppress the oxidation reaction due to the water, it is possible to improve the hydrogen termination on the wafer surface.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprises a bottle clamp having first and second clamp arms extending beyond respective first and second pivot axes. The clamp arms are held in a closed position. A rotatable locking element part is provided on an extension region of the first clamp arm, and a fixed locking element part is provided on an extension region of the second clamp arm.
Abstract:
A device for transferring articles between a first machine implementing intermittent movement of the articles at a first predetermined pitch, and a second machine implementing continuous movement of the articles at a second predetermined pitch. The device includes a flexible conveyor extending around at least two pulleys so as to have at least one rectilinear segment facing a conveyor of the first machine and a rounded segment facing a conveyor of the second machine. The flexible conveyor of the device carries laterally-projecting article-handling members arranged at regular intervals in such a manner that the handling members are at a pitch corresponding to the first pitch in the rectilinear segment. The rounded segment has a radius such that the handling members are at a pitch corresponding to the second pitch in the rounded segment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a width-adjusting device for conveyor corridor(s), comprising a wide gear-reduction mechanism connected to the frame (5) of said conveyor, wherein said mechanism is arranged between the control shaft (12) and the wall(s) of said corridor. The device includes: a final drive capable of reverse operation and consisting of said control shaft (12) in the form of an endless screw and of a toothed wheel (11); and a system for controlling at least one of the walls of said corridor, consisting of an endless screw (13) and a nut, the endless screw being mobile or fixed relative to said toothed wheel (11). The shaft (12) of the final drive is a flexible shaft having a long length and engaging with the tension-retaining system (20) for absorbing the pulling and pushing forces in the rotation direction thereof.
Abstract:
A gripper unit for transport systems for supporting and transporting articles. A gripper unit that includes a gripper head with at least two gripper arms which can be opened and closed against each other. The top of the article to be gripped and to be transported is supported in the opening formed between the gripper arms. A shifting unit is supported in a flexible manner via a fastener directly supported at the transport system. Furthermore, the gripper unit is provided with a device for interchangeable support, adjustment and spatial determination of the gripper head in a first transport direction at the gripper unit. The device provides for the vertical movement of the gripper head contrary to the gripper unit and/or contrary to the transport system, which are arranged between the gripper head and the shifting unit or between the gripper head and the transport system.
Abstract:
A clamp grip for a container transport system including rare earth permanent magnets encapsulated in non-magnetic material such as high quality steel. Flexible positioning of the magnets allow for adapting to varied design specifications. A rotatable control cam or cams may be used to adjust grip arms between a grip and a release position. Air gap distances between permanent magnets may be designed to maximize repelling force to assist in the functioning of clamp grip mechanism.
