PURPOSE: A compression system for cryogenic refrigeration with multicomponent refrigerant is provided to get an improved system for generating refrigeration at a cryogenic temperature. CONSTITUTION: A multicomponent refrigerant as a refrigeration fluid is compressed in a compressor(10) lubricated with polyalhaolefin-based oil. The oil is removed from the compressed refrigerant with separator(20) and oil filters(25,26) and the compressed refrigerant is expanded by expansion valve(45) to generate at a cryogenic temperature for suction to a refrigeration receptor(51). A compression system for cryogenic refrigeration with multicomponent refrigerant(31) includes an oil lubrication compressor, an oil separation system, a device for supplying the multicomponent refrigerant from the compressor to the oil separation system, and a device for supplying lubricating oil from the oil separation system to the compressor. The compression system includes an expansion device, a heat exchanger(50), device for supplying the multicomponent from the oil separation system to the expansion device, from the expansion device to the heat exchanger, and from the heat exchanger to the compressor. The compression system includes a device for supplying refrigeration from the multicomponent to a refrigeration receptor by supplying the refrigeration receptor to the heat exchanger.

PURPOSE: Novel lubricant and friction modifier compositions optionally comprising a solid lubricant and a binding agent in water medium suitable for lubricating steel-steel interfaces such as tractor-trailer couplings, rail-wheel systems and other heavy duty applications, are provided. CONSTITUTION: A water-based lubricant composition for lubricating steel-to-steel interfaces comprises (a) at least about 24% by weight water; (b) about 8% by weight binding agent; (c) at least about 2% by weight solid lubricant; and (d) at least 0.002% by weight wetting agent.

The present invention is directed to a powdery lubricant for aluminum alloy forging. A mixture of a lubricant base material composed of an inorganic compound and an organic compound is formed into the lubricant wherein at least the lubricant base material has a powdery or granulated form. The lubricant of the present invention allows for the production of high quality forging in a forging work, with good workability and without worsening environmental conditions.

The present invention relates to lubricating grease compositions comprising (a) at least one high-viscosity fluorinated oil having a viscosity of 500 to 1500 mm2/s, (b) boron nitride and (c) a binder selected from bentonite, alkali metal phosphates, aluminum phosphates, alkali metal silicates, alkaline earth metal silicates, aluminum silicates, alkaline earth metal carbonates, calcium borate, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, aluminum oxide and mixtures thereof. The lubricating grease compositions find use especially in the high-temperature sector, for example for the lubrication of oven pullout rails.
