종래보다도 고강도이며, 또한 실용에 적합한 PC 강연선 및 그것을 이용한 콘크리트 구조물을 제공하는 것이다. 1개의 중심선과 6개의 측선을 서로 꼬은 7개 꼬임 구성으로, 외경이 15.0∼16.1mm, 총단면적이 135mm 2 이상, 0.2% 영구 신장시에 대한 하중 또는 0.1% 영구 신장시에 대한 하중이 266kN 이상이 되도록 조정함으로써, 종래보다도 고강도이며, 또한 실용에 적합한 고강도 PC 강연선으로 할 수 있다.

This invention discloses a steel cord. The steel cord comprises a plurality of strands twisted together with a cord twist pitch. Each strand comprises a plurality of filaments twisted together with a strand twist pitch. The elongation at break of the steel cord is no less than 5%. The strand comprises a strand twist angle. The steel cord comprises a cord twist angle. When the sum of the strand twist angle and the cord twist angle is between 20 and 29 degree, the structural elongation of the steel cord is no less than 2.0%. When the sum of the strand twist angle and the cord twist angle is between 30 and 38 degree, the structural elongation of the steel cord is no less than 2.5%. When the sum of the strand twist angle and the cord twist angle is between 39 and 48 degree, the structural elongation of the steel cord is no less than 3.0%. Preferably, the structural elongation of the steel cord is no more than 4.0%. The steel cord has high elongation at break, high structural elongation and high rubber penetration. This invention also provides a pneumatic tire comprising the steel cord mentioned above.

The invention relates to a combined cable having a core cable made of high-strength plastic fibers present as a twisted monofilament bundle (1) or a plurality of twisted monofilament bundles (6), and having an external layer (2, 7) of steel wire strands (4, 5), characterized in that the monofilament bundle or bundles (1, 6) is or are stretched to reduce the diameter and held in a cladding (2, 7), particularly braided cladding, in this state. The strain of the core cable under load is thus reduced, so that the load distribution between the steel cross-section and the plastic cross-section of the cable is improved. In the same sense, in reverse, in order to have the strain behavior of the strand layer approach that of the core cable, the cable has an intermediate layer (3) made of an elastic plastic, in which the steel wire strands are pressed at a distance from each other, such that the external layer stretches under load and contracts radially.

Ein kombiniertes Seil mit einem Kernseil aus hochfesten Kunststofffasern, die als ein verdrilltes Monofilbündel oder eine Mehrzahl von verdrillten Monofilbündeln vorliegen, und mit einer Außenlage aus Stahldrahtlitzen ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das bzw. die Monofilbündel unter Durchmesserverringerung gedehnt und in diesem Zustand durch eine, insbesondere geflochtene, Ummantelung gehalten ist bzw. sind. Die Dehnung des Kernseiles unter Last wird dadurch verringert, so dass sich die Lastverteilung zwischen dem Stahlquerschnitt und dem Kunststoffquerschnitt des Seiles verbessert. Um im gleichen Sinne umgekehrt das Dehnverhalten der Litzenlage demjenigen des Kernseiles anzunähern, weist das Seil eine Zwischenlage aus einem elastischen Kunststoff auf, in den die Stahldrahtlitzen mit einem Abstand voneinander eingedrückt sind, derart, dass sich die Außenlage unter Last dehnt und radial zusammenzieht.

The invention relates to a braided rope for bend-over-sheave applications consisting essentially of n braided primary strands being made of polymeric filaments, which rope has an oblong cross-section with aspect ratio in the range 1.2 - 4.0. Such a rope shows markedly improved service life performance in cyclic bend-over-sheave applications. The invention also relates to the use of a braided rope according to the invention as a load-bearing member in bend-over-sheave applications; and to a system comprising such a rope and at least one sheave with a groove, the dimensions of which groove are adapted to the rope dimensions.
