Abstract:
A gas strut includes a housing, a piston assembly, a dye, and a dye containment seal. The housing includes an inner surface defining a chamber extending along a centerline. The chamber includes a working portion and a dye storage portion disposed axially adjacent to the working portion. The piston assembly is constructed and arranged to reciprocate within the working portion, and the dye is located in the dye storage portion. The dye containment seal is disposed in the dye storage portion, and is constructed and arranged to transfigure from a normal state to a dye release state thereby releasing the dye upon the piston assembly.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a damping system for closets with sliding doors (2) comprising: a damping device (1) and an actuating element (3), wherein the damping device (1) can be fitted in the upper guide (2a) of a door (2) through deformation of flanges (7) of respective supporting parts (5, 6) of said damping device (1) to allow the damping device (1) to be secured in the closet itself and to allow said damping device (1) to slide driven by the actuating element (3) during the relative movement between both; or the element actuating element (3) can be fitted in the upper guide (2a) of the door (2) through deformation of flanges (3c) of said actuating element (3), which allows it to be secured and to slide driven by the damping device (1) during the relative movement between both.
Abstract:
Device for opening cabinet door of cabinet body. Cabinet door is attached to cabinet body by self-closing hinges. Cabinet door is held in closed position at a small distance from the front of cabinet body. In order to allow cabinet door to be opened without gripping elements, without hindering the self-closing of the hinges, there is a unit having ejection piston with a locking apparatus and tension rod in cabinet body. Ejection piston is supported in the unit by compression spring, and tension rod is supported in the unit by tension spring. Ejection piston and tension rod are coupled to each other by a control apparatus having a freewheel, and thus by tapping on cabinet door the opening of cabinet door can be initiated and cabinet door can be brought into an intermediate position. In the intermediate position, cabinet door can be grasped by a hand and opened further.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly for rotatably supporting a decklid relative to a body of a vehicle includes a damping mechanism for damping movement of the decklid relative to the body. The damping mechanism includes a damping clip attached to a bracket of the hinge assembly, and a damping bumper attached to a hinge box of the hinge assembly. Movement of the bracket from a closed position into an open position brings the damping bumper into engagement with the damping clip. The damping bumper spreads and/or elastically deforms the damping clip to absorb energy and dampen the movement of the bracket and/or the decklid.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly is provided to mount a door to a housing, and includes a housing fixation section (1), a hinge cup (3) pivotally connected to the housing fixation section (1), and a damping mechanism (4) positioned entirely within the hinge cup (3) to dampen movement of the door as it closes on the housing.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a door apparatus for a refrigerator and a damping apparatus for the same. The door apparatus for the refrigerator comprises: a main door for opening/closing the interior of a refrigerator, a sub-door for opening/closing the interior of the refrigerator through a portion of the main door, a sub-door frame disposed on the main door and supporting the sub-door, and a damper disposed at the sub-door frame to reduce an impact due to the pivotal movement of the sub-door. With a damping force required when the door is opened/closed and a more simplified structure of the door, a door design of higher tightness can be implemented.
Abstract:
A system for dampening an opening motion of a door includes a frame, an access door and at least one dampening member. The access door is rotatably secured to the frame. The access door is configured to be moved with respect to the frame between closed and completely open positions. The at least one dampening member is secured to the access door or the frame. The dampening member(s) dampens movement of the access door toward the completely open position over a range of motion.
Abstract:
An end stop damper including a stop element, guided in an elongate damper body with an opened and a closed end as well as a receiving chamber, for receiving a sliding piece, joined to the stop element. The end of the sliding piece, which extends into the receiving chamber, forms a cavity with the inner contour of the receiving chamber. The cavity has at least one opening, for reducing the air pressure. The opening cooperates with a damping element which creates a flow resistance for the air, escaping through the opening.
Abstract:
A noise control device for a steel door includes a buffer, a shock-absorbing member, a stopping member, or only includes a colliding member. The noise control device is installed at any location of a steel door and a casting where noise may be generated when the steel door is closed or opened. The buffer consists of a cylinder, a lower sponge, a coil spring, a rod, and an upper sponge and possibly a colliding member. The buffer can be mainly installed on a deadbolt groove of the casing. The shock-absorbing member may be fixed on the steel door or the casing for reducing sound. The stopping member is fixed on the steel door to face the outer end of the buffer. The noise control device can reduce noise generated in opening and closing as much as possible and preventing the both from disfiguring or denting.
Abstract:
A damping device for movable furniture parts, such as doors or drawers, includes a cylinder filled with a free-flowing medium which is compressed by a piston which has a spring applied to it in its extended position. In order to provide a damping device of this type of smaller length, the cylinder includes a telescopic cylinder having at least two stages. A pressure spring is clamped between the bottom of the outer cylinder of the last stage and the piston of the first stage.
