A hinge and linkage system comprises a four-link system wherein first and second links are respectively connected to vehicle body and closure members, and an additional pair of links interconnect the first and second links. An expansible gas strut also interconnects the first and second links. In accordance with the invention, an expansible spring-biased plunger mechanism is mounted upon one of the additional links so as to operatively engage and be axially compressed by the second link and the closure member when the closure member is disposed at its latched position. When the closure member is unlatched, the spring-biased plunger mechanism initially partially elevates the closure member toward its open position whereupon the expansible gas strut can continue the elevational movement of the closure toward its open position.

A balancing device consists of at least one balancer, for example a pneumatic jack, one end of which is connected to the deck lid by a swivel joint and whose other end is hinged to the vehicle body. The balancer is hinged to the vehicle body through a bent return lever consisting of two unequal arms and is attached at its bend to the vehicle body about an axis parallel to the hinge axis of the hatchback. The end of the arm oriented toward the axis forms a hinge for the said other end of the balancer while the end of the other arm of the bent lever is in contact with the concave cam surface of a cam attached to the deck lid.

A hinge for the controlled rotatable movement of a door (D) or like closing element anchored to to a wall (W) or like support structure, the hinge comprising a fixed element (10) coupled to the wall (W) or like support structure and a movable element (20) coupled to the door (D) or like closing element, the fixed (10) and movable (20) elements being rotatably coupled together to rotate between an open position and a closed position about a first longitudinal axis (X). One of the movable (20) and fixed (10) elements includes cam means (50) rotating about the first longitudinal axis (X), the other of the movable (20) and fixed (10) elements including follower means (60) mutually interacting with the cam means (50) for sliding along a second longitudinal axis (Y) substantially perpendicular to the first axis (X) between a first and a second end -stroke position. The follower means (60) include at least one elastic counteracting element (61). A snap hinge (1) with damped closure, comprising a first articulated quadrilateral (2) and a second articulated quadrilateral (3) which share a first lever (4) and a second lever (5) and are provided respectively with a plate (6) for coupling to a first element (101) and with a plate (7) for fixing to a second element (102). The hinge (1) is movable alternately between an open configuration and a closed configuration, in which the plates (6, 7) have different arrangements with respect to each other. At least one damping element (8) is interposed at least between the first quadrilateral (2) and the coupling plate (6) or between the second quadrilateral (3) and the fixing plate (7) for damped transition from the open configuration to the closed configuration or vice versa.

Device for securing a soft ending of the opening movement of a drawer as the latter is drawn towards an outer limit stop (10), the drawer being mounted in a (not-shown) furniture body and capable of being pulled out from said body, and in which there may be one or more rails (1, 3) between the drawer and the furniture body. The device comprises a damper (6) filled with a fluid medium attached to the furniture body - or to a rail of the furniture body - and a piston with a piston rod (7) being reciprocable in said damper (6), the free end of the piston rod (7) being attached to a tilt-able rocker (9). Whenever the piston rod (7) close to its outermost position is moved in and out in the damper (6), the rocker can be moved on a guide portion (17) - mounted at the damper (6) - between a first end position (Fig. 2) close to the damper, in which, a first pin (19) mounted at the back of the drawer may engage with the rocker (9), and a second end position (10) far from the damper (6), in which the piston rod (7) is in its outermost position.
