The invention relates to a method for operating a data communication link between a wireless data-linked mobile manual operator device (2) and a machine controller with the help of at least one bidirectional first radio link (13) and an at least largely concurrent bidirectional second radio link (14) that is technically separated from the first radio link (13). The mobile manual operator device (3) comprises at least one protective switching element (25; 26) for reliably terminating potentially dangerous processes and operating states of the controlled technical apparatus (6). The mobile manual operator device (2) further comprises output means (29) for outputting information. All of the transmitted data, command and safety information is subdivided into a first class of data that has high time priority and a second class of data which has low time priority. The data from the first class of data is transmitted via the first radio link (13) while the data from the second class of data is transmitted via the second radio link (14).

Die Erfindung beschreibt ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer datentechnischen Kommunikationsverbindung zwischen einem drahtlos datengekoppelten mobilen Handbediengerät (2) und einer Maschinensteuerung (3) unter Verwendung von zumindest einer bidirektionalen ersten Funkübertragungsstrecke (13) und einer dazu technisch getrennt ausgeführten und zumindest weitgehend nebenläufigen bidirektionalen zweiten Funkübertragungsstrecke (14). Das mobile Handbediengerät (3) ist mit wenigstens einem Sicherheitsschaltelement (25; 26) zum technisch zuverlässigen Beenden potenziell gefahrbringender Prozesse und Betriebszustände der gesteuerten technischen Einrichtung (6) ausgestattet ist, wobei das mobile Handbediengerät (2) weiters mit Ausgabemitteln (29) für die Ausgabe von Informationen ausgestattet ist. The invention concerns a method for remote control of actuators in an installation in a building, connected to an electric power supply network and equipped with communication means through power line carrier currents and/or wireless communication means, by means of a control device including a mobile control unit or nomadic transmitter and a support connected to the power supply network. The invention is characterized in that the data sent from the control device to the actuators are carried out in various modes: by wireless transmission, when the nomadic transmitter is not on the support; by wireless transmission and power line carrier current transmission, or by power line carrier current transmission only, when the nomadic transmitter is on the support.

Specifically, the remote control system according to the present invention provides the following features: bidirectional communications between the remote control and at least one of the audio/video devices; dual communication mode; automatic communication mode selection; loading and processing electronic program guide in the remote control; soft graphical user interface in the remote control; expanding the television set functions by the remote control; calibration handshake between the remote control and the audio/video device; passive updating the remote control; lost beacon signal in the remote control; handwriting recognition mechanism, and voice recognition mechanism in the remote control.
