Abstract:
A color separation scanner comprising a support arranged for mounting thereon of a two-dimensional image to be scanned and color separation sensing apparatus arranged for sensing the two-dimensional image. The color separation apparatus includes a scanning head located a fixed distance from the two-dimensional image, at least first and second objective lens assemblies and apparatus for selectively arranging each of the at least first and second objective lens assemblies in fixed locations along the optical path between the image and the scanning head.
Abstract:
A reading apparatus of the invention has a high resolution reading part, a low resolution reading part, holding means for holding both the reading parts so as to be movable along a document, and means for selecting both the reading parts. The reading apparatus performs by one set of the apparatus total four modes of low resolution reading with respect to a light-impermeable document, high resolution reading with respect to the light-impermeable document, low resolution reading with respect to a large-sized light-permeable document, and high resolution reading with respect to a small-sized light-permeable document, such as a photographic film.
Abstract:
A film image reading apparatus has a conveying section for sequentially conveying a plurality of film originals to a reading position, a reading section for reading an image of a film original conveyed to the reading position by the conveying section, a detecting section for detecting a direction of the image of the film original conveyed to the reading position, and a controlling section for controlling outputting of an image signal from the reading section in accordance with the direction of the image detected by the detecting section.
Abstract:
A kind of device to transfer film image into digital data includes a body, a frame, a bottom brace and a bottom cover wherein the frame body is assembled to the upper portion of the bottom brace and the while the body is housed in the body then the bottom cover is assembled and sealed below. A camera lens is set above the frame. A back light mechanism is set inside the bottom brace. One long groove each is set to two sides of the body and a film plate clamp is inserted from one side. This film plate clamp can fix the film plate inside and position to the top of the back light mechanism. The camera lens is utilized to access the images of the film and transfer the images into digital data to be sent to another computer for storage. The objects of rapid transfer the images on the film into the digital data for easy modification and permanent storage are thus achieved.
Abstract:
An image scanning device for scanning an image on a document comprises a document table on which a document to be scanned is placed, a scanning unit which is installed in the document table for scanning an image on a document by projecting light from a light source onto the document in a time-sharing manner and detecting reflected light from the document, a moving unit which moves at least one of the document and the scanning unit to let them move relatively with each other, and a document type judgment unit which judges the type of the document in regard to transmission of light through the document based on a non-lighting period image signal which is outputted by the scanning unit by scanning the document for one line in a main scanning direction in a non-lighting period of the light source.
Abstract:
A slide securing device, using in a flatbed scanner, includes a frame and a securing cell. The securing cell comprises an aperture, a first securing clip, a second securing clip, a first securing groove, a second securing groove, a picking portion, a first support member and a second support member. The slide securing device utilizes proper clips for holding slides. Thus, the scanner can directly scan the secured slides by predetermined parameters and reset mode, in order to save scanning time. Further, the securing grooves maintains slides at a fixed height to improve the scanning quality.
Abstract:
A scanning device includes a first tray, a second tray, a detection module, a scanning module, and an image processing module. The first tray has an identification element. When the scanning device scans the first tray, the detection module detects the identification element so as to generate a first signal. When the scanning device scans the second tray, the detection module does not detect the identification element so as to generate a second signal. The image processing module uses a first group of parameters to process the scanned image when receiving the first signal. The image processing module uses a second group of parameters to process the scanned image when receiving the second signal.
Abstract:
A scheme for obtaining an original image free from any dust or scratches on a film by scanning a film original or the like with visible light and infrared light has been proposed. This scheme suffers problems, i.e., a large memory size and long processing time since original image data obtained by infrared light must be stored. To solve such conventional problems, this invention provides, e.g., an image scanning apparatus which has a light source for emitting visible light and invisible light, scanning means for scanning an original image irradiated with light emitted by the light source, and control means for controlling the scanning means to scan the original image irradiated with the invisible light, and then to scan the original image irradiated with the visible light.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a method for verifying a scan mode selection utilized for a scanned image. The method comprises comparing the scanned image to scan samples stored in memory, determining a scan state from a scan sample that most closely corresponds to the scanned image, determining whether the scan mode selection is consistent with the determined scan state, and providing an indication that the scan mode selection is not consistent with the determined scan state.
Abstract:
In an image reading apparatus that can read a reflection original and transparent original, a film holder for holding the transparent original is provided to be pivotal to the left or right about a shaft as the center. After the transparent original is set such that its image can be seen correctly, when the film holder is brought down to the right, the film can be set correctly concerning its upper and lower sides. At this time, as the film holder is held by the reading apparatus, its positional shift can also be prevented.
