Abstract:
Lactams, in particular epsilon-caprolactam, are produced by the hydrolytic cyclization of aminonitriles, in particular 6-aminocapronitrile, in the vapor phase in a plurality of adiabatic fixed bed reaction zones arranged in succession wherein at least a portion of the heat of the exothermic reaction is removed between each of the successive reaction zones. Conducting the reaction in such a manner requires less capital for the reactor itself. It has also been found that the product exiting such a reaction system can be directly fed to a distillation unit without the need of additional cooling or storing.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing lactam compounds and/or amide compounds in good yield.SOLUTION: A lactone compound and ammonia or an amine compound are reacted with each other in the presence of a zeolite of an atomic ratio of silicon to aluminum, Si/Al, of ≥5,000 and water to produce amide compounds of formula (IV), wherein Ris 3-7C alkylene, and Ris a hydrogen atom, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl or hydroxyalkyl.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lactam compound (III) and/or an amide compound (IV) with an excellent selectivity by converting a lactone compound (I) with an excellent conversion.SOLUTION: By making a lactone compound (I) and ammonia or an amine compound (II) react with each other in the presence of water and mesoporous silica, a lactam compound (III) and/or an amide compound (IV) represented by formulas are/is produced. The mesoporous silica is preferably MCM-41 (wherein Rrepresents a 3-7C alkylene group, and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply obtain 2-pyrrolidone used as a raw material for polyamide-4,N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, and polyvinyl pyrrolidone in low energy and at low costs as a main purpose.SOLUTION: A method for using a microorganism or an enzyme solution prepared by crushing the microorganism to efficiently produce γ-amino butyric acid from glutamic acid and/or a glutamate. A method for efficiently synthesizing 2-pyrrolidone from γ-amino butyric acid obtained using a microorganism. A system for producing γ-amino butyric acid from glutamic acid and/or a glutamate, then recovering the remaining unreacted glutamic acid and/or glutamate, producing γ-amino butyric acid from the recovered glutamic acid and/or a glutamate, and further synthesizing 2-pyrrolidone. A method and a system for synthesizing polyamide-4,N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, polyvinyl pyrrolidone from the obtained 2-pyrrolidone are provided.
