Abstract: PURPOSE: A multimedia data transmission apparatus in a wireless network and method thereof are provided to improve end-to-end QoS(Quality of Service) by dividing a media layer into an SVC(Scalable Video Coding) necessary layer and an improved layer. CONSTITUTION: Multimedia data divided by a layer is received(S1101). Different wireless bearer channels are established in a multimedia layer(S1102). A QoS parameter for the wireless bearer channel is differently applied. The QoS parameter includes a QCI(QoS Class Identifier) and ARP(Allocation Retention Priority). The multimedia data is divided into a necessary layer and an improved layer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving data are provided to maintain the same BER(Bit Error Rate) performance as that of an existing OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing) system by using modified Walsh-Hadamard transformation. CONSTITUTION: A first symbol mapping unit(120) generates a plurality of key symbols by mapping information about an optimal key index by symbol which indicates modified Walsh-Hadamard transformation causing a minimum PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio). A firstly modified Walsh-Hadamard converter(125) generates a plurality of modified Walsh-Hadamard transformed data symbols by transforming a plurality of data symbols with modified Walsh-Hadamards transformation according to modified Walsh-Hadamard matrixes. An IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transformer)(130) generates a plurality of Fourier-inverted symbols by Fourier-transforming inversely a plurality of key symbols and a plurality of modified Walsh-Hadamards transformed data symbols. A transmitting unit(170) transmits the plurality of Fourier inverted symbols to a channel through one or more antennas.
