Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of decoding an image. The method includes acquiring intra chroma prediction information of a current block from a bitstream, deriving an intra chroma prediction mode of the current block based on the intra chroma prediction information, and performing intra prediction with respect to the current block based on the intra chroma prediction mode. The intra chroma prediction mode may be any one of a linear model (LM)) mode, a derived luma (DM) mode, a Planar mode, a Vertical mode, a Horizontal mode and a DC mode, and a first bit of the intra chroma prediction information may be used to determine whether the intra chroma prediction mode is an LM mode.

Abstract: An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus are disclosed. The method of decoding an image according to the present invention, comprises, generating a first prediction block of a current block, generating a second prediction block of the current block and generating a final prediction sample of the current block using a sample unit weighted sum of the first prediction block and the second prediction block, wherein a weight used for the sample unit weighted sum is determined based on a location of a current luma sample and a geometric prediction mode (GPM) boundary line for partitioning the current block.

Abstract: The present invention relates to image processing, and more particularly, to a video coding/decoding method using a clipped motion vector and an apparatus thereof. An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of decoding an image. The method includes clipping a motion vector of a reference picture in a predetermined dynamic range to generate a clipped motion vector, storing the clipped motion vector in a buffer, deriving a motion vector of a coding treeblock using the motion vector stored in the buffer, and performing inter prediction decoding process using the motion vector of the coding treeblock. According to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a size of a memory required for storing motion vectors may be reduced.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an intra prediction method including: deriving neighbor prediction mode information from a left neighbor prediction mode and an upper neighbor prediction mode; deriving an intra prediction mode for a decoding target unit by using the derived neighbor prediction mode information; and performing intra prediction on the decoding target unit based on the intra prediction mode. According to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, image encoding/decoding efficiency can be improved.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for encoding and decoding an image by skip encoding. The image-encoding method by skip encoding, which performs intra-prediction, comprises: performing a filtering operation on the signal which is reconstructed prior to an encoding object signal in an encoding object image; using the filtered reconstructed signal to generate a prediction signal for the encoding object signal; setting the generated prediction signal as a reconstruction signal for the encoding object signal; and not encoding the residual signal which can be generated on the basis of the difference between the encoding object signal and the prediction signal, thereby performing skip encoding on the encoding object signal.
