Abstract:
The present invention provides a grease composition which is excellent in peel resistance, not to mention lubricity, as compared with the prior art products. A novel grease composition for rolling bearing is provided, comprising a base oil, an extender, an inorganic compound-based filler having an average particle diameter of not more than 2 mum and zinc dithiocarbamate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to lubricating grease compositions comprising (a) at least one highly viscous, fluorinated oil having a viscosity of between 500 - 1500mm 2 /s, (b) boron nitride and (c) a binder which is selected from bentonite, alkali metal phosphates, aluminum phosphates, alkali metal silicates, alkaline earth metal silicates, aluminum silicates, alkaline earth metal carbonates, calcium borate, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, aluminum oxide and mixtures thereof. Said lubricating grease compositions can be used, in particular, in a high-temperature range, for example for greasing oven drawer rails.
Abstract:
A thermally conductive silicone grease composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane represented by the following general formula: wherein each R 1 is independently selected from monovalent hydrocarbon groups, each X is independently selected from monovalent hydrocarbon groups or alkoxysilyl-containing groups of the following general formula: -R 2 -SiR 1 a (OR 3 ) (3-a) wherein R 1 is defined as above, R 2 is an oxygen atom or an alkylene group, R 3 is an alkyl group, a is an integer ranging from 0 to 2, m is an integer equal to or greater than 0, and n is an integer equal to or greater than 0; (B) a thermally conductive filler; and (C) an aluminum-based or titanium-based coupling agent. The composition exhibits excellent heat resistance and reduced oil bleeding.
Abstract:
An article including a first release liner with a first release surface, a second release liner with a second release surface, and a layer of a thermally conductive grease between the first and the second release surfaces. The thermally conductive grease includes a mixture of at least three distributions of thermally conductive particles, each of the at least three distributions of thermally conductive particles having an average (D50) particle size which differs from the other distributions by at least a factor of 5.
Abstract:
A perfluoropolyether, a composition comprising the perfluoropolyether, a process for producing the perfluoropolyether, and a process for improving the thermostability of grease or lubricant are provided. The perfluoropolyether comprises perfluoroalkyl radical end groups in which the radical has at least 3 carbon atoms per radical and is substantially free of perfluoromethyl and perfluoroethyl end groups. The process for producing the perfluoropolyether can comprise (1) contacting a perfluoro acid halide, a C2- to C4-substituted ethyl epoxide, or a C3+ fluoroketone with a metal halide to produce an alkoxide; (2) contacting the alkoxide with either hexafluoropropylene oxide or tetrafluorooxetane to produce a second acid halide; (3) esterifying the second acid halide to an ester; (4) reducing the ester to its corresponding alcohol; (5) converting the alcohol with a base to a salt form; (6) contacting the salt form with a C3 or higher olefin to produce a fluoropolyether; and (7) fluorinating the fluoropolyether. The process for improving the thermostability of a grease or lubricant comprises combining the grease or lubricant with the composition.
