Abstract:
A vertical wind tunnel flight simulator comprises a flight chamber wherein a flier may experience a freefall simulation. Airflow to support the flier is induced by fans connected above the flight chamber through a duct. A staging area having openings to the flight chamber is adjacent to the flight chamber. One or two return air ducts are used to return air from the fans outlet to the fans inlet. Opposed louvers are included on at least one duct segment thereby regulating the temperature via forcing ambient air into the simulator. The use of many duct segments having diverging walls adds commercial value to the system by lowering the height. Mounting components on the roof and behind walls creates a spectacular pedestrian viewing scene of people in flight.

The invention relates to a heavy-duty roundsling, which comprises an endless load-bearing core containing multiple turns of a strand material comprising high-performance fibres, and a protective cover made from interlaced strands comprising high-performance fibres, and wherein the mass ratio of high-performance fibres in the core to high-performance fibres in the cover is from 0.15 to 2.0. Said roundsling shows an advantageous combination of properties, like high strength, low weight, and high durability; enabling a higher number of lifting operations than known metal or synthetic slings, especially of heavy goods with e.g. sharp edges.

PURPOSE: Provided is a non-spin wire rope having excellent non-spin property without lowering of softness and winding capacity owing to filling gullies of outer layer strand with independent CoMPacted strand and controlling properly the twisted wire pitch of a rope and a rope core. CONSTITUTION: In the 6 or 8-strand wire rope, the non-spin wire rope is characterized by: a closing structure having 6 or 8 strings of the outer layer strand around the rope core; a twisted wire of a strand core having an opposite direction to a twisted wire direction of the rope; and the CoMPacted strand filled in the gullies of the outer layer strand. The twisted wire pitch of the rope core is 6.0-6.5 times as large as a diameter of the rope core. The twisted wire pitch of the wire rope is 6.5-7.0 times as large as a diameter of the wire rope.

Provided is an elevator wire rope in which fiber cores having a high grease content are arranged in an empty space between center strands and inner-layer strands or an empty space between the center strands to improve flexibility while maintaining properties such as high elasticity and low elongation. The wire rope includes: a rope core including center strands and fiber cores, each of the center strands being formed by twisting wires; inner-layer strands each formed by twisting wires, the inner-layer strands being arranged around the rope core; and outer-layer strands each formed by twisting wires, the outer-layer strands being arranged around the inner-layer strands. The inner-layer strands are ten in number, and the outer-layer strands are ten in number. The fiber cores are arranged in at least one of an empty space between the center strands and the inner-layer strands and an empty space between the center strands.

Plastic impregnation of the wire rope (10, 20) can be ensured due to the separator strands /17, 27).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Drahtseils (1), bei dem ein Kernstrang (3) verdichtet wird und danach Litzenstränge (2) auf dem Kernstrang (3) verseilt werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Kernstrang (3) zur Glättung seiner Oberfläche (10) vor Verseilung der Litzenstränge (2) gehämmert wird. Zweckmäßigerweise wird auf den Kernstrang (3) vor der Verseilung der Litzenstränge (2) eine Kunststoffschicht aufgebracht, wobei die Litzenstränge (2), vorzugsweise unter Erhitzung der Kunststoffschicht (7), in die Kunststoffschicht (7) eingedrückt werden. In der bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist der Kernstrang ein Kernseil (3) und die Litzenstränge Litzen (2) des Drahtseils (1) oder der Kernstrang ist eine Herzlitze und die Litzenstränge sind äußere Kernlitzen eines Kernseils des Drahtseils. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner das Drahtseil (1) und eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung des Drahtseils (1).
