Abstract:
A steel cord (1) for the reinforcement of elastomers, especially for the reinforcement of breaker layers in a tire, said steel cord comprising two strands of at least two filaments (11, 12) each, said strands being twisted around each other and forming helicoids of a same pitch, the filaments (11) of the first strand having a pitch differing from the pitch of said helicoids and having a value of more than 300 mm, the filaments (12) of the second strand having the same pitch as said helicoids and being twisted in the same sense as said helicoids, all the filaments of both of said strands having a diameter between 0.08 and 0.45 mm, wherein the diameter of the filaments of one of said strands is at least 0.02 mm greater than the diameter of the filaments of the other of said strands. Preferably the diameter of the filaments (12) of said second strand is at least 0.02 mm greater than the diameter of the filaments (11) of said first strand.
Abstract:
A steel cord for reinforcing a breaker or belt ply in a rubber tire having a core group and a sheath group. The core group consists of two to four core steel filaments with a first diameter dc and the sheath group consists of one to six sheath steel filaments with a second diameter ds. The ratio dc/ds of the first diameter dc to the second diameter ds ranges from 1.10 to 1.70. The two core steel filaments are untwisted or have a twisting step greater than 300 mm. The sheath group is twisted around the core group with a cord twisting step in a cord twisting direction. The ratio of the difference in residual torsions of the core group and the sheath group to the difference in saturation level between the core group and the sheath group ranges from 0.10 to 0.65, preferably from 0.10 to 0.60.

Abstract:
To provide a pneumatic tire wherein the lightweight properties of a tire is secured while improving the plunger energy and BES resistance thereof, which is particularly suitable for tires for a large passenger car or extra load tires. A pneumatic tire comprising a carcass 1 as a skeleton, and at least two belt layers 2a, 2b each formed by rubberizing a plurality of steel cords arranged obliquely with respect to the tire circumferential direction on the outside in the tire radial direction of the crown portion of the carcass is provided. The steel cord is composed of two or more core wires and five to seven sheath wires twisted together around the core wires; the interval between adjacent steel cords in the belt layer is more than 1.0 mm and not more than 1.50 mm; and the gauge of the belt layer is not less than 1.20 mm and not more than 1.60 mm.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a steel cord (30) comprising cylindrical layers, said cord including: an inner layer (C1) formed by M wires, an intermediate layer (C2) formed by N wires helically wound around the inner layer (C1), and an outer layer (C3) formed by P wires helically wound around the intermediate layer (C2), in which the inter-wire distance D2 of the wires of the intermediate layer (C2) is greater than or equal to 25 µm and the inter-wire distance D3 of the wires of the outer layer (C3) is greater than or equal to 25 µm.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a hybrid core rope (1) which does not require maintenance or a hybrid core rope (1) capable of reducing a maintenance task. The hybrid core rope (1) includes a resin solid core (2) in which a plurality of spiral grooves (2a) is formed in the longitudinal direction on an outer peripheral surface thereof, a plurality of fiber bundles (3) respectively spirally wound around the outer peripheral surface of the resin solid core (2) along the plurality of spiral grooves (2a), the fiber bundles (3) having thickness to fill the spiral grooves (2a), and a plurality of steel strands (4) spirally wound around the outer peripheral surface of the resin solid core (2) around which the fiber bundles (3)are wound. The fiber bundles (3) and the strands (4) are respectively wound so as to have angles which are not parallel to each other.
