A door closer assembly is provided, including a valve regulating an amount of hydraulic fluid that flows through the valve. The amount of hydraulic fluid flowing through the valve controls a force generated by the door closer assembly on a door. A first sensor measures an angular position of the door, and a second sensor measures an angular position of the valve. The angular position of the valve determines the amount of hydraulic fluid flowing through the valve. A controller controls the adjustment of the valve based on the angular position of the door and the angular position of the valve.

A hinge assembly is provided for attaching a door to a domestic appliance. The hinge assembly includes a hinge body; a damper; a foot pivotably attached to the damper and having a pivot end, the foot engaging a foot receiving portion of the appliance such that the hinge body and the door pivot relative to the appliance; and a shoulder bushing attached to the pivot end of the foot and to a pivot point of the hinge body such that the foot pivots relative to the hinge body around the pivot point, the shoulder bushing having a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion. The pivot end of the foot is fixed to the shoulder bushing at a fixing area of the small diameter portion such that a side surface of the pivot end of the foot is in contact with a side surface of the large diameter portion.

The hinge (1) for furniture comprises at least one deceleration device attached to the outside of the hinge box (4), an actuating lever (12) for the deceleration device, supported in oscillating fashion in the hinge box (4), and elastic return means to bring the actuating lever (12) back to an initial position, the deceleration device comprising a housing body (15) which extends peripherally along a side wall (9) of the box (4) and has means for fixing it to the side wall (9), the elastic return means being located on the housing body (15) outside the box (4) and providing at least one elastic arm (16) which protrudes into the inside of the box (4) through an aperture (17) in the side wall (9) of the box (4) to connect operatively with the actuating lever (12).

A damping mechanism has a housing body defining a cavity with a central axis, a threaded section disposed with female threads revolving about the central axis and a smooth section; a rotating shaft inserted into the cavity; and a piston, wherein the piston comprises a threaded section disposed with male threads revolving about the central axis and a piston head. The threaded section of the cavity and the threaded section of the piston constitute a screw-on fit relationship between the female and male threads. The piston head is clearance-fitted or seal-fitted with the smooth section of the cavity. An axial hole section of the piston is clearance-fitted or seal-fitted with the rotating shaft. The rotating shaft is provided with a radially outwardly-opening and axially-extending oiling slot on the sliding path of the piston head while the depth and/or width of the oiling slot changes gradually.

A device for decelerating the rotation of a hinge in particular for furniture, comprises a container accommodating at least one rotating friction element adapted to slide on a friction surface, a slider moveable along a translational direction during the rotation of the hinge, and kinematic means for transforming the translation of the slider into a rotation of the at least one friction element, the slider having first means for receiving its movement during the opening of the hinge, distinct and separated from second means for receiving its movement during the closure of the hinge, the kinematic means comprise a drawing element integrally joined to the slider and permanently confined inside the profile of a cam provided for on the friction element.

A furniture hinge has at least two fitting parts for fixing the hinge to furniture parts. One of the fitting parts is designed as a hinge arm with at least one joint lever which pivots during the hinge movement and a rotation damper for damping a hinge movement. A slide, movably mounted on the hinge arm, may be driven by the pivotable joint lever, and the slide acts on the rotation damper by means of a transmission mechanism (T).

The invention relates to a regulating valve, which is attachable in particular in a bore, executed with a female thread, of a hydraulic door closer. The regulating valve has a body adjoined by a regulating area. The regulating valve also has a thread provided with an anti-rotation element. The thread, including the anti-rotation element, being screwed into the female thread of the bore. In order to provide a regulating valve of a simple design, in which any unwanted adjustment of the regulating valve during operation is excluded, the anti-rotation element of the regulating valve has a plastic material layer at the thread flanks of the thread. The plastic material layer cooperates with the female thread of the door closer.

An assembly to pivotally connect an external vehicle closure panel to a vehicle body includes a first hinge member that is constructed to be mounted to one of the external vehicle closure panel and the vehicle body, a second hinge member that is constructed to be mounted to the other of the external vehicle closure panel and the vehicle body, a shaft that is constructed to pivotally connect the first hinge member to the second hinge member, and a viscous rotary damper. The damper includes a cover, a rotor, and a viscous material. The shaft connects to the rotor such that rotation of the external vehicle closure panel between a closing position and an opening position causes relative motion between the rotor and the cover of the viscous damper to provide a resistance for controlling the velocity of the external vehicle closure member.
