Abstract: Mating interfaces between an air intake housing and an air filter are disclosed. Abstract: An air filter system for a motor vehicle includes a common housing, first and second D-shaped filter elements and a common cover. The common housing defines a first airflow chamber extending between a first inlet duct and a first outlet duct and a second airflow chamber extending between a second inlet duct and a second outlet duct. The first airflow chamber is fluidly separated from the second airflow chamber. The first D-shaped filter element is disposed in the first airflow chamber for filtering air passing through the first airflow chamber. The second D-shaped filter element is disposed in the second airflow chamber for filtering air passing through the second airflow chamber. The common cover is secured to the housing and closes the first airflow chamber and the second airflow chamber.

The air cleaner is disposed rearward relative to the seats, and at least partially disposed above the placement surface. The air cleaner includes an air cleaner case, a filter element detachably disposed inside the air cleaner case, a lid detachably attached to the air cleaner case to cover a first opening. The filter element has a substantially tubular shape. The lid is disposed along an extension line of an axis of the filter element.

Abstract: A filter cartridge for a filter for filtering a fluid is to be used downstream of a main filter cartridge in a filter and is provided with an inflow surface, an outflow surface, and a main flow direction extending from the inflow surface to the outflow surface. A filter body is provided that can be flowed through along the main flow direction. A filter cartridge frame supports the filter body. A seal is disposed on the filter cartridge frame and separates a filter interior of a filter into a clean side and a raw side. An adhesive connection is provided that connects the filter body and the filter cartridge frame to each other. In one configuration, the filter cartridge frame at an inflow side is provided with a grip area, wherein the grip area enables inflow of a fluid into the filter body via the grip area and manual removal of the filter cartridge.
