An enclosure for communication devices is described comprising a rear housing and a faceplate. Various faceplates may be provided for different communication devices. The rear housing mounts to existing phone backboards. The rear housing may remain mounted and the faceplate exchanged for a different faceplate with a different communication device. The enclosure provides a simple, ubiquitous, an inexpensive enclosure that can support various communication devices that provide a variety of communication services to users such as email, VOIP, video calls, or other advanced telecommunications.

Abstract:
A method and a decision maker for managing media streams comprising at least video data and audio data in a multi- party video conference are disclosed. The video conference involves one or more groups of one or more nodes respectively receiving a media stream from each of a plurality of associated endpoints.In each of the one or more nodes of each of the one or more groups, the loudest audio of the media streams received from the respective plurality of associated end points is determined. Further, each of the one or more nodes of the respective one or more groups transmits an indication of the volume of the determined loudest audio and an identification of the node associated with the loudest audio to a respective decision maker associated with each one or more groups. In each one or more decision maker, the highest received volume and the associated identification is determined. Next, a descicion maker instructs the node of the identification corresponding to the highest determined volume to transmit the received media stream of the endpoint associated with the determined loudest audio to all nodes in the one or more groups, or to a respective proxy associated with each of the one or more groups.

A transmission/reception unit 51 of a management system 50aa transmits state information after change that indicates a state of a changed terminal 10aa to a management system 50cd connected to a terminal 10db. Consequently, the terminal 10db can grasp the state of the terminal 10aa through the management system 50cd. Thus, there is an effect that the terminal 10db can request start of communication with the terminal 10aa at a proper timing.

A transmission/reception unit 51 of a management system 50 receives a relay device ID transmitted by a selection device 80. Also, the transmission/reception unit 51 transmits communication control request information to another management system 50 based on the relay device ID. Consequently, a relay device 30 to be used to relay content data to be transmitted/received among terminals 10 can be selected from relay devices 30 that the another management system 50 can control.
