Abstract:
In an image output apparatus for outputting an image supplied from an image supply apparatus, the image supply apparatus and the image output apparatus are connected wirelessly and send and receive data. The state of the wireless connection is determined and the image to be output is changed in accordance with the determined state of the connection.
Abstract:
In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises a reader section, a data acquisition section, an image forming section and a control section. The reader section reads data corresponding to a non-contact wireless communication system. The data acquisition section acquires data of a printing object. The image forming section forms an image on the basis of the data acquired by the data acquisition section. The control section controls the data acquisition section to acquire the data of the printing object stored in an external device on the basis of identification information in a case in which the identification information for specifying a storage location of the printing object stored in the external device is included in the data read by the reader section.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes: a request transmitting unit that transmits a registration request for a service which is provided from a service providing system, through a network, by using user information that is selected by a user from among a plurality of pieces of user information; an acquiring unit that acquires confirmation information, which is returned by the service providing system in response to the registration request; and an instruction unit that suppresses an application, which is configured to perform automatic log-in to the service providing system with default user information which has set, from performing the automatic log-in with the default user information and then instructs the application to send a confirmation response to the service providing system by using the confirmation information.
Abstract:
A document processing system comprising a controller (12) for controlling at least one part of the document processing system, a user interface for allowing a user to interact with the document processing system, a mobile device (14) capable of communicating with the controller (12) in the document processing system via a wireless link (16), wherein a locating function (24) is provided for locating the mobile device (14), characterized in that the user interface has a hierarchical structure with at least three levels each of which is associated with a class of local entities (28, 30, 32) each of which contains at least a part of the document processing system, the local entities being nested such that each lower level entity (28, 30) is contained in an entity (30, 32) associated with a superior level in the hierarchy, and a selection function (34) is provided for automatically selecting one of the hierarchical levels dependent upon the local entities in which the mobile device (14) is located.
Abstract:
A communication controller controls non-contact communication with an external device via an antenna while at least one of first and second power is supplied. A first circuit electrically connects a first power supply to a communication node. A second circuit electrically connects a second power supply to the communication node. The first circuit includes a first electrical component configured to prevent second power from being supplied to a particular target electrically connected to the first power supply while the second power is supplied to the communication node. The communication controller communicates with the communication node in a certain data communication method while the second power is supplied to the communication node. In response to reception of electric power from the external device via the antenna, the second power supply supplies the second power to the communication controller, and supplies the second power to the communication node through the second circuit.
Abstract:
A portable terminal comprises an ID acquisition section, a position information acquisition section and a return instruction section. The ID acquisition section acquires ID information that specifies a print job sent from an information processing apparatus to an image forming apparatus. In a case in which the ID information is acquired and a beacon signal is received from a beacon transmitter, the position information acquisition section acquires, according to the received beacon information, position information relating to a position of the portable terminal relative to the image forming apparatus. If the position information meets a specific condition indicating the approach of the portable terminal to the image forming apparatus, the return instruction section instructs the image forming apparatus to return from a power-saving mode to a normal mode.
Abstract:
A system and method for capturing and rendering of images includes a wearable or portable data device including a digital camera. A data storage includes data specifying a default image printer and default print settings for digital images. An image capture operation triggers a prompt for expedited image rendering in accordance with preset default settings. Input responsive to the prompt selects for immediate commencement of a print operation for a captured image in accordance with default settings. Image capture and communication can be accomplished with wearable digital eyewear working in concert with an associated, portable data device such as a smartphone. Captured images may be queued in a user device when a data path to the printer is unavailable.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is intended to ensure correct determination whether the first cover 6 is in an open position or a closed position. An NFC reader 10 has a detection function for detecting a clock signal having a frequency of approximately 13.56 MHz, and a communication function for executing, with a smartphone 11, communication in compliance with an NFC standard. The NFC reader 10 is provided to a first cover 6. A housing 3 is provided with an antenna 28a outputting a transmission clock signal to be detected by the NFC reader 10 with the detection function.
