Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which can efficiently emit light incident at a designated angle range to a designated angle range, a method for manufacturing the same, an illumination device, a window material, and fittings.SOLUTION: The optical element includes a first surface S1, a second surface S2 opposite to the first surface, and a plurality of reflecting surfaces 151r arranged in a first range defined with the first surface and the second surface, wherein the reflecting surfaces have a first length d in a first direction vertical to the first surface and are arranged along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and light incident on either of the first surface and the second surface is reflected by the plurality of reflecting surfaces toward the other surface. The optical element satisfies a conditional expression about the first length, the number of total reflection, an arranged pitch p of the reflection surfaces, an angle between a projected shadow to a surface including first and second directions of light incident to the reflecting surface and a tangential line at any point of the reflecting surface, and a refractive index in a range defined with the first surface and the second surface.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved solution for welding, folding, treating, and processing of tyre materials to form an object closed onto itself.SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing an object closed onto itself, which comprises a first means for guiding and carrying a tyre material to be arranged around the first means, is characterized in that the apparatus further comprises a sixth means for folding the tyre material arranged around the first means; the sixth means comprises a number of folding members movable relative to each other, and folding members can engage on the tyre material for folding and move inside recesses provided for this purpose in the first means.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt connecting device wherein a connected belt has sufficient durability and is excellent in smoothness. SOLUTION: The connecting device wherein connection ends of the belt 4 made of resin are inserted in a cavity 2 of a mold 1 so as to face each other and are connected by using resin 50 for connection, is provided with a heating means for heating the resin for connection to a flow starting temperature or more; and a pressure holding means 3 including a reservoir 31 for holding the resin 50 for connection in a flowing state, a pressure transmission member 33 for transmitting pressure to the resin 50 for connection in the flowing state, a biasing means 34 for biasing the pressure transmission member 33, and a biasing force adjustment means 35 for adjusting biasing force of the biasing means 34. The resin 50 for connection is held in a state of being pressurized above the atmospheric pressure by the pressure holding means 3, and is connected so as to become less than the flow starting temperature. Abstract:
A panel of a material is transported in operative proximity to an air knife having a nozzle and a curved Coanda surface, such that the panel is folded over the curved Coanda surface as the material is transported in a machine direction. The panel can be folded to a variety of angles and can comprise a refastenable fastening component. Air knives are employed in various methods for folding garment side panels and forming prefastened garments, such as refastenable pants.
