PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for displaying a medical image which enables a fast and accurate check-up of whether segments of a heart wall move simultaneously in a heart wall motion analysis, and a user interface screen generating method.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a cardiac ultrasound image display to analyze the simultaneity of a heart wall motion, and a method and apparatus for displaying a cardiac ultrasound image. The method of displaying a medical image includes the step S210 of obtaining a characteristic value for each of one or more segments included in an object, the step S220 of generating an image of the object indicating the segment of which the characteristic value is a peak value, and the step S230 of displaying the image.

The present invention relates to transmit apodization using a sinc function in an ultrasound system. The ultrasound system includes: a transmission unit operable to generate transmit pulse signals with transmit apodization applied by using a sinc function; a probe operable to generate ultrasound signals based on the transmit pulse signals to thereby form a transmit beam and transmit the transmit beam along a predetermined scan line among a plurality of scan lines in a target object, the probe being further operable to receive ultrasound echoes reflected from the target object; and a reception unit operable to form receive signals corresponding to a plurality of scan lines based on the ultrasound echoes.

The image processing apparatus includes: a data obtaining unit for obtaining volume data that contains a target image; a depth-data obtaining unit for obtaining depth data that indicates a depth to the surface of the target image from an image plane; an image processing unit for processing the volume data into a processed volume data on the basis of the depth-data, and generating a rendered image on the basis of the processed volume data; and a display unit for displaying the rendered image.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which can be used more conveniently.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a body 10, wheels 15 which protrude downward from the body 10 and are supported by the ground, a handle 14 provided to protrude upward from the body 10, and a display unit 20 for displaying images. The display unit 20 is placed on the handle 14 to be separated, and the handle 14 provided on the body 10 plays a role as a stationary base where the display unit 20 is mounted.
