Abstract: A safety device for a straight shifter is provided to prevent force from being excessively applied to a power apparatus, a load cell or a workpiece by using a simple safety device. A safety device for a straight shifter comprises a case shape body(10) and an operating unit(20). The body has a space section(11) at the center portion thereof. The operating unit is installed at the center of the space section of the body in order to separate a workpiece(1). A contact member(21) and an elastic plate(22) are installed at two sides of the operating unit, respectively. A bolt(23) has an end portion screw-coupled with the contact member, and is screwed into a nut(24) by passing through the elastic plate such that the elastic plate limitedly moves toward the contact member. A spring(30) is installed between the elastic plate and a wall of the body and is contracted according to a load.
