Abstract: PURPOSE: Extruder for preparing chewable tablet is provided which extrudes and cuts a core that includes medicines and a chewable base that surrounds the core simultaneously so that it prepares medicines in a tablet form for internal use. CONSTITUTION: The extruder for preparing chewable table comprises the parts of: a base stand; a rack(9, 11) which receives the chewable base(5) and the core(7); a hydraulic cylinder(17, 19) which is placed to be parallel to the opposite side of a dispensing hole(13, 15); an outer shell exhaust pipe(21) which is stretched from an opened dispensing hole; a core exhaust pipe(23) which is bended straightly to be stretched for locating the opposite edge of the dispensing hole at the identical line as the center line of the shell exhaust pipe; and a nozzle(25) which is bound with a dispensing edge of the shell exhaust pipe to be removable.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A chewable tablet containing medicines in the core is provided, which is convenient for internal use, shows excellent mouth feel and the taste, and has better stability and internal absorption. CONSTITUTION: The chewable tablet is manufactured by following the processes of; mixing gum base, lecithin, hydrogenated palm oil, liquid glucose, sorbitol soln, dextrose, sugar, aspartame, glycerin, flavoring agent to get a gum base; mixing pectin, sorbitol, liquid glucose, sugar and citric acid in another vessel to get a jelly base, and mixing the jelly base with the medicine constituting inner core at 25deg.C; putting the gum base and the jelly base into an extruding machine designed for a special purpose respectively, pressing them out at the same time while keeping a shell of the tablet at more than 50-90deg.C, and its inner core at 5-8deg.C; and then producing candy rope containing regular amount of inner core, tableting the candy rope, and manufacturing a sugared chewing gum tablet for medicinal purpose.
