A device for electrically testing an electrical connection harness (10), including an electrical signal generator (24) and a measuring apparatus (22) connected via two switches (26, 28) to the branch lines (16) of the harness through "consumer" cards (30) simulating the conditions of components that may be mounted on the branch lines. A control assembly (32, 38) enables the switches (26, 28) and "consumer" cards (30) to be controlled to simulate various component configurations (transmitter, receiver, standard load, short-circuit, open line).

The invention relates to a device for connecting at least one braid of electric cables to a connector. The device is comprised on the one hand of a yoke (30) provided with a slot and, on the other hand, of a metal strip (24) of constant thickness and width. The extremity (28) of the strip (24) is backfolded to one edge (34) of the yoke (30) whereas the other extremity (26) of the strip (24) passes twice into the slot in order to form two turns (42, 44) around the braid (38). The extremity (26) is then backfolded to the flange (36) of the yoke (30) and severed.

The invention concerns a device (100) for transmitting control/command signals between a first station (12) connected to a mobile element (14) rotating about an axis (Z) and a second static station (16), each station being connected to different electrical control members (a, b, to x) and/or receiving electrical members (A, B, to X), said device (100) being provided with a rotary connector (10) wherein is wound a single flexible electric cable (20) with one first end connected to said first station (12) and a second end connected to said second station (16). The invention is characterised in that at least one of said first and second stations (12, 16) delivers, towards the other station, at least one rapid digital data signal having a rate higher than 100 kbits/s and said cable is flat and comprises a sheath and at least two parallel conductors, a couple at least of said conductors being electrically connected to an adapting impedance and having a characteristic impedance with a value substantially equal to that of said adapting impedance for enabling said digital data rapid transmission. The invention is applicable to a motor vehicle steering wheel wire feedthrough.

A method for continously producing an electrical conductor made of an at least partially aluminium-based central core coated by continuous electroplating with at least one metal layer, including core surface pre-treatment, characterised in that it comprises the steps of (a) electrochemically copper-plating the core in an aqueous bath held at a temperature of 20-60 °C and containing KCN, CuCN, K2CO3 and KNaC4H4O6 with a current strength of 1-10 A/dm2; (b) rinsing at room temperature; (c) electrochemically tin-plating the core in an aqueous bath held at a temperature of 20-60 °C and essentially containing tin dissolved in methane sulphonic acid as well as optional additives, with a current strength of 1-100 A/dm2; and (d) rinsing in water at 60 °C.
