Abstract: The present invention is directed to a shear-thinning gel composition for producing a dry, water-stable and electronically conductive ink, comprising (a) dispersed electrically conductive graphite flake particles and (b) at least one further type of electronically conductive particles selected from carbon black and conductive pyrolyzed plant carbon components in a specific ratio of (a) to (b) as well as (c) a dissolved binder based on or consisting of shellac dissolved in a suitable solvent, where-in the ratio of the total of the electrically conductive particles (a)+(b) and the dissolved binder (c) and the weight proportion of the electrically conductive particles in the composition are specified. The invention further relates to the dried and electronically conductive inks, methods for producing the gel compositions and the use of these gel compositions for preparing, optionally ink-jet printing or robocasting 2D or 3D print products, in particular for preparing electronic devices, such as, for example, flexible electronic devices, biosensors, logic and memory devices, supercapacitors, batteries, flexible batteries, capacitive sensors, RFID tags, and smart packaging.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an aerogel material with a porosity of at least 0.55 and an average pore size of 10 nm to 500 nm, having the following steps: a) preparing and optionally activating a sol; b) filling the sol into a casting mold (10); c) gelling the sol, whereby a gel is produced, and subsequently aging the gel; at least one of the following steps d) and e), d) substituting the pore liquid with a solvent; e) chemically modifying the aged and optionally solvent-substituted gel (6) using a reaction agent; followed by f) drying the gel, whereby the aerogel material is formed. The casting mold used in step b) is provided with a plurality of channel-forming elements (2) which are designed such that the sol filled into the casting mold lies overall at a maximum distance X from a channel-forming element over a specified minimum length L defined in the channel direction of the elements, with the proviso that X 3.

Abstract: In order to improve the use of a medical support and compression stocking, the stocking (10) has a woven- or knitted-fabric-type base element (20) which is essentially tubular and can be pulled over the lower leg (90) of the wearer. In addition, the stocking has at least one air chamber (30) which can be filled with air. The air chamber (30) is designed in a tubular shape along the length of the support and compression stocking. The stocking further comprises an electronic unit, which is equipped with a micropump and a valve for the air supply, a current source, preferably a rechargeable battery, and control electronics including a wireless data transfer unit, the micropump being equipped with a valve. The pressure values of the at least one air chamber can be regulated by means of the data transfer unit and software stored in the electronic unit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a group of novel compounds containing one or more amino substituted DOPO (9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-phosphaphenthren-10-oxide) moieties. The compounds were found to have good flame retardant properties and also good thermal stability, which makes them particularly suitable as flame retardant additives for various thermoplastic polymers. In particular, they can be incorporated in a polyurethane foam.

Abstract: A process for the production of an aerogel material comprises the following steps: a) preparation of a silicon oxide sol in an alcoholic solvent mixture; b) triggering of the gelation of the sol by adding base, giving a gel, and optionally ageing of the gel; c) hydrophobicization of the optionally aged gel; d) removal of the solvent mixture by subcritical drying, during which the aerogel material is formed. The silicon oxide sol formed in step a) comprises at least one acid-catalytically activatable hydrophobicization agent, where the volume fraction of the hydrophobicization agent in the sol is 5 to 60%. The hydrophobicization in step c) is induced as a result of release or addition of at least one hydrophobicization catalyst acting in combination with the hydrophobicization agent.
