Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a device for engaging holding parts with spectacle lenses, where the spectacle lenses are prevented from falling and being broken owing to the interference of an arm with the holding parts. CONSTITUTION: The device which is arranged in a plate so as to fix the holding parts to the spectacle lenses is provided with one arm 13 receiving the holding parts so as to be rotation possible and a carriage for permitting the arm 13 to rotate between a lifting load end position and lowering engagement end position. The carriage can straightly move between a drawing halt position and the advance end of a movement position. In a transmitting device which is operated between a driving device and one of the arm 13 or the carriage, the arm 13 is located at a drawing engagement position when the carriage is located at least at the position being adjacent to the advance end of the movement position. A restraining device is operated between the arm 13 and the carriage and permits the arm 13 to be restrained to the carriage at a lowering halt position in terms of a liberation.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To enable engaging holding part by means of force added to a lens without permitting the lens to be broken by constituting a system by means of a plate, a calibration spring device and a displacement sensor. CONSTITUTION: The plate 11 for receiving spectacle lenses is pivotally attached to a fixing base 15 so as to be freely rotation possible and the calibration spring device 16 and the displacement sensor 18 are operated between the plate 11 and the fixing base 15. That is, when the plate 11 is rotated with an axis A2 as a center by engagement force added along an engagement axis A1 , the plate 11 is moved downwards and a proper calibration is executed by the calibration spring device 16. The spring device 16 normally permits the plate 11 to be brought into pressure-contact with the abutting part 34 of the base 15 in order to correctly fix a halt position. Then, the feeler 36 of the displacement sensor 18 covers an optical battery 35 so that a driving device for engaging the holding parts with the spectacle lenses 12 arranged in the plate 11 is operated.
