Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complete throw-away type all plastic centrifuging rotor, improved for a fluid treatment. SOLUTION: The all plastic centrifuging rotor is equipped with an integrated mold-plastic upper rotor part 21 having a rotor shaft pad 28, 29. An integratedly molded plastic upper rotor part 22 is provided to form a hollow rotor inside, which is connected to the upper rotor part. An integrated base plate 23 is arranged at the hollow rotor inside, which is connected to the lower rotor part and has the rotor shaft pad. The rotor shaft pad of the integrated base plate passes the lower rotor part and is extended beyond this lower rotor part, wherein the upper rotor part and the rotor shaft pad have the same shaft. A spiral vane element is arranged at the rotor inside, which is arranged between the upper rotor part and the base plate for the fluid treatment when the centrifuging rotor rotates at a high RPM. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cheap and disposable spin-on fluid filter. SOLUTION: A disposable type spin-on fluid filter 20 is constituted and arranged so as to mount on a base part provided with a mounting shaft for screw formation 19. The base part is provided with a fluid inlet stream to the filter and a fluid outlet passage from the filter. The filter is comprised of a housing canister 21 having a closed end 22 and an open end 23 opposite to the closed end and a fluid filter medium 25 arranged in the housing canister. A mounting post 30 is formed as a part of the first closed end of the housing canister and is constituted and arranged so as to assemble to the mounting shaft for screw formation on the base part. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge electrode assembly for an electrostatic precipitator, the mechanical strengths/service life of which are increased/prolonged. SOLUTION: This corona discharge electrode assembly 40 for the electrostatic precipitator includes a drum 30 having a pair of annular flanges 34, 36 which are extended in the direction of an axis 32, arranged separately along the drum 30 and widened outward from the drum 30 in the radial direction. An electrically conductive belt-like strip 42 being a discharge electrode has a plurality of segments 44 which are supported by the flanges 34, 36 and extended between the flanges 34, 36. Each of the segments 44 has a length dimension extending obliquely in the axial direction between the flanges 34, 36, a height dimension extending in the radial direction of the drum 30 and a width dimension extending in the direction perpendicular to the length direction and the height direction. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase incentive to the vehicle operator to receive a required service for the vehicle. SOLUTION: When the back pressure of an internal combustion engine exceeds a predetermined threshold, indicating that the particulate filter should be serviced soon, an input to the electronic control module (ECM) indicating the intake manifold boost pressure is shunted to ground, thereby giving the ECM a false indication that no boost is applied to the intake manifold. This will cause the ECM to derate the engine performance to a "no air torque setting", thereby limiting the amount of torque that the vehicle operator can extract from the engine. This decreased performance of the internal combustion engine provides a very high incentive to the vehicle operator to receive the inspection service of the particulate filter. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved liquid filter, its filter element, and a method for indicating an occlusion state of the filter. SOLUTION: The liquid filter 10 is provided with the annular filter element 16 having an annular space (a portal chamber) 24 between the filter element and a housing. The liquid level of the portal chamber can be seen through the housing. The higher the liquid level of the portal chamber, the larger the pressure drop between the filter elements. An occlusion indicator 102 for replacing the filter contains a gas collecting and pressure response type release mechanism 104 to collect a gas inside an upper section 23 of the portal chamber, and prevents the occlusion of the filter to be shown by the rise of the liquid level inside the portal chamber from being quickened until the pressure reaches designated releasing pressure equivalent to desired terminal pressure. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved self-driven centrifuge for separating a particulate matter out of a circulating liquid. SOLUTION: This centrifuge is provided with a base 29 having a pair of jet nozzles 34 for generating the self-driven force and a shell body 28 connected to the base 29 for forming an interior space. A rotor hub 22 having a hollow rotary central axis penetrating the interior space and extending upward is assembled to the base 29. A base support plate 33 is arranged in the interior space so that an annular flow exit is formed between the plate 33 and the hub 22. A spiral vane module 21 is supported by the plate 33 and arranged around the hub 22 in the interior space.
