Abstract:
A machine supplied with strip material and including a plurality of feed hoppers (21) arranged on a turret (20). When an external supply such as a large-capacity hopper (30) is used, an interface device (50) defines a guide (51) between the outlet slot of the external supply and the inlet slot of the machine. The interface device (50) is characterised in that at least one portion (22) of the guide is combined with the rotary turret and rotates therewith. This system is useful for supplying a photographic printer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and apparatus used for rounding the corners of a pile of sheets (52). According to one of the embodiments of the method according to the present invention, air is injected between the sheets in the pile (52) so as to create a lubricating fluid film between the said sheets; at least one of the corners of the pile (52) is placed in abutment against two reference surfaces (55, 56, 57) formed facing at least one corner of the pile, and the four cutting devices (50) corresponding to each corner are actuated. Application to the manufacture of X-ray films.
Abstract:
A half-cell reference electrode comprises an electrode member in electrochemical contact with at least one gelled electrolyte solution which itself is contactable with the liquid to be tested wherein the gelling agent comprises a polymer containing acrylamide units substituted with a group or groups which lower the polymer's tendency to hydrolyse compared to polyacrylamide while providing a polymer that can form a gelled solution in 2.6 M sodium/potassium nitrate solution (2.21 M potassium nitrate and 0.39 M sodium nitrate) comprising at least 75 % (w/w) sodium/potassium nitrate solution.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for preparing indium alkoxides soluble in organic solvents. The preparation method consists in reacting an indium halide with a C3-C20 alcohol in the presence of a base having a pka > 10 and a low nucleophilicity, in anhydrous medium, under inert gas and in the presence of polar organic solvents. The invention allows to obtain with a high yield pure indium alkoxides.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for positioning a magnetic head on the portion of a track where the level of the recorded signal is maximum. The method is characterized in that the position of maximum signal level is obtained by assimilating the curve representing the mean signal level read versus the position of the magnetic head on the track width to a simple symmetrical geometrical form of which is determined an equation of portions of straight lines defining it. Application to the positioning on high density magnetic media.
Abstract:
Method for the surface treatment of a magnetic sheet comprising a support to which is applied a magnetic layer on at least one of its two sides. The method is characterized in that, in hot conditions, a pressure is applied to each of the magnetic layers by using the surface of polished glass. Application to the fabrication of high density magnetic cards.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a memory card with high density of information. The memory card is comprised of a medium susceptible of receiving, on at least one portion of one of its faces, an image obtained by thermal transfer, the other face being covered on at least one portion of its surface by a high density magnetic recording medium. Application to portable files and access controls.
Abstract:
Reading and recording units. The process for organizing accordingto priority the information recorded on a support including n tracks or sectors, one of which at least is reserved and identified as a first compulsory reading track, consists in selecting at least one priority track among the information recording tracks, and in recording, on the first reading track, the identification of the priority track or tracks to obtain a reading strategy track (Po) for reading the card according to a predetermined priority order. Application to reading information recorded on a support.
Abstract:
In a process for developing latent images, the images are developed using a developer pigment. A vibration is applied to the point of application of the toner or to a point sufficiently close to said point of application of toner so that the toner particles dislodged by the vibration are collected by the rotating drum (12). Application to the production of a latent image virtually exempt from ground noise.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a digital data communication system. The system comprises: a first station (1) containing data in digital form; a second station (2) intended to receive the data; a bidirectional link (20) enabling the data to be transferred, the bidirectional link transferring the data, parameters relating to the transferred data and command and control signals generated by the second station (2); a third station (9) intended also to receive said data; and a communication interface (39) for capturing the data passing over the bidirectional link (20) and routing them to the third station (9) and, in response to the command and control signals generated by said second station, for managing the transfer of the data to the third station (9).
