    Abstract: Unusualy long life and reliability in a selector switch are achieved by providing long-wearing components which, in turn, contribute to an essentially dust-free environment for the contact portions of the switch. Materials of all parts produce a min. of abrasion dust and the conformation of the housing structure provents the entry of exterior dust. A binary coded cam having multiple cam sections sliding contact between spring type contact elements and shorting bars. The rotary element and the two main housing portions are moulded of a highly wear resistant, low friction material.

    Abstract: The radio receiver includes a blanker cct.(12) for muting the receiver in response to interfering noise signals. A transistor switch, when biased to its nonconducting state, inhibits blanker action. The transistor is biased to nonconduction when the receiver provided automatic gain control level is below the threshold voltage of the transistor. An adjustment is provided for controlling the AGC level at which blanker inhibit is introduced. Temperature compensating cct. maintains inhibit action response at the threshold voltage with changes in ambient temperature.

    Abstract: The received signals are filtered to eliminate all signals at frequencies apart from the predetermined frequency. The filter output is coupled to a latching circuit which provides one output signal when a given number of cycles having a given amplitude have been detected in sequence, and a second output signal when a given number of cycles is lacking or of insufficient amplitude. If the filter output includes one or more cycles of the given amplitude followed by a longer series of cycles having less than the given amplitude, a timer is enabled to that any subsequent pulse of the given amplitude will block any detect signal for a predetermined period.

    Abstract: The circuitry increases the average power of the modulating signal and thus the signal-to-noise ratio. The circuitry includes a microphone, an audio amplifier, a splatter filter, a potentiometer, an oscillator and transmitter as well as an antenna. The auido amplifier includes an operational amplifier having an input resistor coupled via a capacitor to the amplifier, and a feedback resistor coupled between the filter and the input resistor. When driven into amplitude limiting, the phase and amplitude of harmonic signals from the operational amplifier are altered by the filter.
