Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means and a method for maintaining the temperature of a package and its contents against a environmental temperature with wider range. SOLUTION: An insulated label which is formed from a polymeric thermoplastic closed cell foam having from about 5,000 to about 250,000 closed cells per cubic inch, preferably from a polypropylene solution process polymer closed cell microfoam and has about 1 to 4 mm thickness and which is affixed to a container, the surface of which is printed directly or on which a printable label is affixed. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sterilize and/or sanitize a variety of containers in a quick and economical manner. SOLUTION: Sterilant vapor is generated to maintain the sterilant vapor in a vaporous integrity, and a nozzle is passed through the opening section of the container and arranged in a position immediately under the shoulder of this container remote from the optional inside face of a vertical container more than 15 mm against the main direction of the flow of the sterilant vapor from this nozzle, so that the sterilant vapor generated within this container is discharged into this container through this nozzle to get the sterilant vapor purged which is discharged with the gas from this nozzle, from the container. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device and a heating method particularly useful in a vending machine providing hot products. SOLUTION: Products such as beverages contained in individual containers such as cans are rapidly heated to a serving temperature by induction heating for delivery to a customer. Various types of products with different heating characteristics are rapidly heated without deleterious effects on the product by varying the power and timing of the inductive heating. The type of product is identified by machine-readable indicia on the container which are automatically scanned prior to heating. The product containers are agitated before, during and/or after heating to mix the contents and distribute heat evenly. The containers are heated in a manner to safely heat the product without overheating or causing damage to the container. A power management protocol turns off non-essential components of the vending machine while the inductive heater is energized to permit the vending machine to operate on a standard 120 VAC, 15 A electrical circuit without overload. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drink composition for preventing decomposition caused by exposure to light, of vitamins including vitamin (A) contained in the vitamin-containing composition, in the case where the vitamin-containing composition is put in a transparent or substantially transparent bottle such as a PET-bottle and a glass bottle. SOLUTION: This vitamin-enriched composition contains vitamin selected from the group consisting of vitamin (A), vitamin D, vitamin B 12 and their combination, and at least one kind of a vitamin stabilizer having C 6 -C 3 phenylpropene carbonyl structure. The vitamin stabilizer is contained with an amount sufficient enough to be supplied with 10-500 ppm of the vitamin stabilizer in drink. A method for preventing decomposition of vitamins in the vitamin-enriched composition is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
